Evgenia Medvedeva

That was so cute ❤️
Jason said that Zhenya was really nice and sweet and that he loved training with her. At some moment, he came in her live and asked her who was her favorite training mate and she laughed ! Marin also commented « Hi Medo-chan » and Zhenya and Jason answered Hi Marin-chan (adorable).
Evgenia made him try watermelon and cheese (so weird ).

aww :luv17::luv17:

One moment was so relatable for us Europeans when Jason said it’s 90 degrees and Zhenya made a confused face trying to convert them in Celsius
😂😂😂

Lol. Jason is going to need to learn the metric system. It's actually pretty easy IMO. The "English system" is silly.

Also Jason will need to learn Russian so he can be the translator for all of Zhenya's Non-Russian speaking fans. (Zhenya's English is improving so much. I like that she picked up American idioms, so it sounds more natural.)

This. I don’t have a clue how Fahrenheit works and the conversion from Celsius to Fahrenheit is so complicated 😂😂

Generally my take as a us person is that anything above 35 is hoooot. 0 c=32 f (freezing) 100 c = 212 f (Boling)

If you learn those three you can kind of guesstimate.

Yes, pointed it out in my post above. Especially in that clip where she is like "Stop it!" to Jason. Straight out of my late 1990s us teenager movies lol.

Lol at Jason asking her about her favorite training mate... "Seriously?!" Zhenya asks...

Carmen died in 1988 when Katarina Witt absolutely slew it.
They should have buried it with dignity and left it in the tomb; no one has done it better since. Just put the Carmen zombie down like a dog now and be done. :noshake:

:otopic: Tessa Virtue. I'm just saying.

Generally I really dislike warhorses but there are songs which I think wouldn't be too bad. If Kostornaia didn't already skated to R&J I'd love Zhenya having program to Korzeniowski's version. Also Per Una Cabeza wouldn't be bad if we are talking about tango. I just don't want her to skate to Carmen, Moulin Rouge, scheherezade or any piece of music David already made choreo to.

I doubt very much that David would go with Moulin Rouge! this year since he worked on V/M's Olympic FD so recently.

I too hope if there is a warhorse, it won't be for both programs. But since she's going to be more involved in picking the music, if a warhorse is chosen, hopefully it's because she really connects to the music and wants to skate to it. And I can think of a few which would be interesting to see her do.

Also, 20 C = 68 F is good for converting temperatures near room temperate. For other temperatures near that, adjust by 5 degree celsius = 9 degrees farehnheit or the approximation of 1 degree celsius = 2 degrees farehneit for small differences.

Canada did a halfway job of going metric, but celsius is definitely more common than farehneit, except for oven temperatures.

These are both so useful much better than trying to times by 1.8 in your head and then add 30 something like we were taught in school as they are way more practical. Thanks so much xxx

I actually think Fahrenheit is better for weather temperature and Celsius for everything else. There is a perceptible difference between 72 and 70 degrees that I think is hard to capture in Celsius.

Yes, it was funny to click on my instagram this afternoon and see “Whaaaaat? Janny is live?????” Was a nice surprise. And it is nice to see that she and her mom have someone to bond with in Jason and that he has someone there as well. They are both in the same boat with a new coach in a different country (although much more different for Zhenya of course than Jason being from the neighbor country, USA). A nice friendship. Hope she does more of instagram lives when she has the time (or is just bored and wants to say hello to fans). It was really cool.

Is she sharing an apartment with Jason?

Her English is fantastic now, she's improved so much and I have so much respect for her.. where did she actually find the time to practise?! It's incredible!
