I've seen some new Zhenya interviews, thank you very much Japanese tv!
About the supposed new program, is it confirmed? Maybe it's just a rumor. I personally like jazz a lot, and I think Zhenya has the charisma to interpret any kind of music. Maybe it's an EX? I must say that I craved a tango (and I still keep hoping that I will get one
).
CS competitions are approaching and I can't wait, I'm so excited!

Just a randomn question but do you believe Zhenya would be good at ice dancing? Not that I want her to change disciplines, not at all but it might be something to take into account once she’s done competing in singles. (And hopefully won it all 
) Considering the fact that ice dancing is a sport with great longevity, where you‘re not done when you’re say 22 and Zhenya loves competing... She also has maturity, dedication, musicality, a connection to the audience and the ability to perform. Again, I want her in ladies figure skating most of all!! I actually thought about this as well! While I think she would be able to do great things in Ice Dance, I don’t think Evgenia would consider switching, even when she‘s older. She said several times that she wants to stay in Single Skating forever, and if that‘s what she wants, she‘ll do it haha

I think that sinle skating demands particular personality (strong individual mind) and ice dance or pair skating demand their own too. Working on my own is quite different tto work as a part of a team and definitely not everyone can transfer from one to other. Just now I think Zhenya is typical single skater as for the mind. Maybe through time with fulfilling individual ambitions and with matching partner it can change, but only time can tell this.

Yeah, if Zhenya wants to do something, she‘ll do it. She can be the Russian Kostner. I know many people say she‘s done after not winning OGM but really, how often was she already predicted to “collapse“? Puberty, stress, fame, pressure, nothing ever made her have a total breakdown. Let’s take this moment to remember Worlds 2017 and how she skated brilliantly and flawlessly after having just witnessed Anna melting down completely. That is some mental strength to speak of! Not to mention the Olympics, where she was gritty and determined and pulled of three skates on a hurting and injured foot, only then to still lose. And what did she do? Cry for like what... five seconds in the K&C and then regain her composure and be nothing but classy to Alina. I would have probably completely broken down after losing like this, considering everything she‘s been through. So, yes, the quadsters army is turning senior soon and she won‘t have it easy at all but she‘s been written off so many times already and well... here she still is. And four years is a pretty long time. She is already working hard on improving her SS and jumps. So yeah, if she wants to do single skating, she‘ll find a way to do it. My question about ice dance was mainly out of curiosity. I don‘t even think she‘s that likely to try it. She‘ll skate for as long as possible and then she‘ll take her popularity abroad and use it to skate even more. Just not in competitions but in shows. I hope and strongly believe we‘ll see Zhenya for a long time to come.

I agree with you here. Thinking about this, Zhenya might not have the right personality to work successfully in a team on the long site. Not because there‘s anything wrong with her but because she‘s so used to having everything depend solely on her and not a partner, too. If she makes mistakes, she‘ll pay for it. But in pairs or ice dance there‘s two people involved and if one makes a mistake... both still take the result. She also said in her John Wilson interview when asked that she rather works out alone than in a team so there‘s that. But it‘s still an interesting prospect to think of... Maybe not serious but just trying it out for fun? I remember Alena Kostornaya and some boy (?? Sorry, I‘m terrible with Russian boys, don‘t remember any of the current ones with exeption of Kolyada) tried a single throw jump in an ex once? And I guess one pairs skater (I think it was Savchenko) posted a video of her trying ice dancing for fun? That could be cool if she‘d try it once.

People who still think that Evgenia will quit soon are cleary not up to date - Evgenia already said in several interviews that she is more motivated than ever now, so I‘m sure that we can see her compete for many more years. I really want to see her with that Olympic Gold in 2022.
And yes, she definitely has the potential to become the Russian Kostner!!

Unfortenutally ice dancing is a very tough field. Frankly, it's quite late for Zhenya to switch even if she would want to. It takes years and years of constant work to have that exquisite skating skills dancing pairs have. Moreover, you should skate since juniors with your partner to get that amazing connection and synchronism. Look at all amazing pairs, they all been skating together since they've been kids and almost never change the partners.
After all she has been through I will believe in Zhenya and her ability. In last season once again many people including RusFed and even Eteri herself sort of lost hope in her due to injury... However, she proved everyone wrong. She showed her best skate in Olympics despite the injury, abnormal pressure, change of Free Program and so on...Many argued 'She is done' as soon as Olympics was over. However, she once again chooses to fight for her future and challenge herself with going to Orser! This was a tough decision. She still receives constant hate and public humiliation by Eteri on Russian prime TV. It might be naive to think she will skate until the next Olympics due to the crazy level of competitiveness within Russian girls, but I will believe in her. To be honest, I doubted that she would be ready for Olympics and look what she has done.
If anyone can do it, it would be Zhenya, all she needs to stay healthy and keep working hard! You go, girl! I want her to make it and brake this Russian system where skaters have one-two season and disappear...

I would love Zhenya doing warhorse, but I do not know which she can take? Yuna has done so many, and they all were fantastic, and I think having the comparison with her right now would be not a smart choice. Plus Alina is doing the 'Full house Warhorse' in both programs...
