Which one do you want to see most, her SP or FP?

For me it's the SP since I think it's going to be super sassy and upbeat. But I'm also very curious about the tango!

I'm also leaning towards the SP, which is funny since I was hoping she was going to do more dark and dramatic like her Kukushka exhibition. Orange Colored Sky is a great, upbeat song, though I prefer the Nat King Cole version. I'm not the biggest fan of singles tango, and I'm dreading the number of people using Libertango in ice dance this season, but it'll be interesting to see how the music is going to be cut.

Orange Colored Sky should be light and fun, and Med is definitely a fun person, so I expect her to be able to pull it off. Therefore, I am more curious about the tango FS. She's very mature and artistic, I loved her in the Anna Karenina program, where she transmitted perfectly all those feminine emotions, however, I think that tango is waay more difficult to interpret, especially when doing it alone. It requires some sharpness and fire which I am not sure are her strength. But that's why I find it exciting, because she'll be able to experiment.

I know, isn't Satoko doing tango, too? I can't really picture Zhenya doing tango, but I can picture her doing jazz quite easily! Having said that, I'm sure she'll surprise us in a positive way!

I doubt it. I hope she‘ll either do her Experience or Windmills of your Mind EX! Although I am open for everything, maybe she‘ll do something completely different for her EX. I still want to see her skating to Requiem for a Dream, no matter the occasion.

I'm very curious about her tech, too! I'm not expecting great changes this season, though. But yes, a 3lo combo is possible! Also very curious about the state of her Lutz, we know she's been working on it.

She is going to take part in a Challenger series event probably in September

For me, it’s her SP. I absolutely love the song she chose so that explains a lot. Also, it’s a new beginning for her so all the more reasons to be impatient.

I'm more excited for the short program. Orange Colored Sky has a lot of personality, and though it's a huge departure from the style of programs Zhenya did before, I think if she had a part in the decision-making process she must have liked it. I trust that Zhenya will make it fun to watch and enjoy herself.

As far as technical things, I hope to see just overall improvement. At one of the Japanese ice shows, Zhenya jumped a 2Lz and fell, right? As I understand the reason she flutzes is probably not that she is/was entirely incapable of jumping a proper lutz with outside edge or at least flat edge, but more that the pressure not to fall and over time muscle memory lead her to choose consistency over correct technique. After all, a flutzy lutz is not really that uncommon, right? I really want to see her trying to work on that just to prove all the haters that say she has awful jump technique wrong. And also, I hope she can work on spins, too. I think some of her positions are a little awkward, and on the doughnut spin I think she kind of wobbles or shifts kind of off-center? Anyways, I just want to see Zhenya having a good season, showing off how she isn't through with figure skating yet
