DWow, that's really an insane wish (re "TAT exploding").
I do not know how I can watch the broadcast. To be honest, at Skate Canada during her FS, I KNEW she was going to do really well, but still could not look at her while she was performing. I was basically relying on the reaction of the audience about how she was doing. That's why I admire Evgenia so much - I mean I was not even skating and I was that nervous.
At this rate, I will probably watch the broadcast but close my eyes when she's skating, then open them only once she's done. Quite ridiculous, I know.
D
Does TAT do commentary on the televised broadcast? (Like Johnny and Tara)
Who was the decison maker for the layout?
No upper body movement=higher GOE? I doubt it. I mean, I could now post some gifs/pics from girls who recieved +4/+5 GOE but this is probably not the rightful thread.
Why not this season? If she qualify for the GPF, I would risk something.
Yes, I think so.
Yeah, maybe then, you‘re right. She has nothing to lose anyway if she‘s in the GPF. If she doesn‘t up her technical content Alina, Liza and Rika are ready to beat her.
I'd love to see how everyone adds up what they think Zhenya's scoring potential is. By my math with the current layout, how the judges have acted so far, and what I know she can do I am getting a max total of 215, 75 for the short and 150 for the long at max. What does everyone else think?
150+75=225![]()
Wouldn't you say that with a (truly) clean skate, her max SP score should be higher? She had a ! on her 3L, step out on the 2A and StSq3 during her Autumn Classic SP, and still scored 70.98 (TES 36.78 and PCS 34.2).

At SCI, her clean double axel got 4.10 points. This score is consistent with the ones she got in her free skate. So let's say 4.10 for the axel.
CSp4 at ACI was 3.28 points, 3.31 points at SCI. Let's give it a 3.30 for both.
Hmm, why does she not do anymore FCSp4? Anyway, she scored at European 2018 4,2 points and I assuming, she will go to the max. Spin BV. +0,3 points from the ACI scoreFSSp4 spin at ACI got 3.90. She only got a level 2 on that at SCI, we will ignore that. So 3.90
Ok, is the same than last season.CCoSp4 spin at ACI got 4.62, at SCI 4.65. Let's just give it a 4.64
Assuming Level 4 with the score from SCI (FS)= 5,24 + 0,8 points from he ACI scoreStep sequence at ACI got 4.42, at SCI it got 4.38. Let's say 4.40 total
Clean free skate at France, potential scores:
I am mixing the two layouts for this as follows
3lz+2t+2t
2a
3f
2a
-
3f+3t
3s+3t
3lo
JUMPS:
3Lz+2t+2t at SCI got 9.17, we will stick with that.
2a (first) at SCI got 4.10, same as the short. For this season I will stick with that number.
3f - I changed this from the second lutz that got an e. I am going to take some creative liberty here and say that it will get +1 points in goe, so 6.30 points
2a (second) again, at SCI it was 4.05 and the other two were 4.10. Very consistent scoring for it, so I will say a 4.05
---
3f+3t as I already compared in the other post, I will give it a 11.90
3s+3t at ACI was 10.81 and SCI was 10.39. Let’s just give it a 10.60
3lo is hard. One fall, one UR. I am going to guess again and say a clean one +1 goe point is 5.05
9.17
4.10
6.30
4.05
11.90
10.60
5.05
TOTAL JUMP SCORE: 51.17
Spins (assuming level four) and step sequence (assuming level four) and Choreo sequence
FCSp4 at SCI got 3.89, at ACI 3.97. Let’s give it a 3.93
FCCoSp4 - she’s messed this up at both comps so we will get creative again and add a point for goe, so total 4.50 points
CCosp4 at ACI got 4.90. This spin got a lvl3 at SCI so we will toss that out
Step sequence 4 at SCI got 5.24, we will keep that
Choreographic sequence at SCI got 4.50, at ACI it got 4.60. Let’s say 4.55
3.93
4.50
4.90
5.24
4.55
TOTAL SPIN/SEQUENCES: 23.12
23.12
51.17
TOTAL TECH: 74.29
(A more realistic tech score would be 76 as I only gave +1 point of GOE to the flip, loop, and spin when she can obviously get more)
Components:
ACI - 69.28
SCI - 70.56
I am gonna take another creative liberty here and jump another point to 71.56 if she is clean
74.29
71.56
TOTAL LONG PROGRAM SCORE: 145.85
TOTAL COMPETITION SCORE (with the calculation from my last post)
72.84 + 145.85 = 218.69 points, almost five points clear of Kaori’s total and enough to win the tiebreaker and make the GPF.
As I said, she could get much more than this depending on PCS and her GOE’s. Also, she has to go clean or she won’t make the final. Also, she really needs all her spins at level four. I beg her team to make sure of this.
Alas, with these current layouts her potential short program will be 75 points and the long will be around 148. That is if her PCS rises. If she starts adding loop combos however, that is a different story.
What needs to happen so all the spins are level four? Less traveling, enough revolutions? I think it was said that the exclusion of a layback has not contributed to lower levels on spins?
Oooooo, one week? Are we ready?

Why so pessimistic?
Even with the current layout, she can score high (over 220 points with the current PCS) and is competitive.
