- after their late night chat Brian and Med didn’t speak at all before the FS. He told her to only talk to him if she wanted to, otherwise he would leave her alone. It helped her get in the mindset
- she was so focused during and after her FS she didn’t hear or register the standing ovation
- she doesn’t want to be afraid to try new things but knows it won’t always work
- she compares her competition mindset to a wild animal
 
I actually can‘t believe I could be more anxious... Honestly... Can‘t this competition be over already? Preferably with a ticket to GPF for Zhenya!! Have some mercy on my nerves! :laugh:

I couldn't sleep last night! It felt like the night before Christmas when I was a child!

But honestly, I wonder how they knew. I don't know why coaches (or people at rinks) would communicate with them outside of interviews and whatnot considering how gossip-y they are

As a back up for the 3F-3T if it doesn‘t work you mean? That sounds logical actually. But what I meant was more about the triple jumps she‘s repeating. Previously it was 3F and 3T. Now it seems to be 3Lo (one solo at the end and one on the 2A-3Lo) and presumably 3F again. But this leaves me wondering whether it‘s too smart to do two loops when she‘s got back issues and also has struggled with URs or falls on her loop in previous competitions. Maybe they have made some tremendous improvement and therefor decided on this layout.

In general it‘s quite good, though. In case she doesn‘t get 2A-3Lo the first time, she can add either add a loop onto the 3S (we know she has trained and landed it from videos in SCI) or a 3T if the landing isn‘t optimal for a 3Lo. If she misses 3T on the 3F she can also add it to one of the later jumps. It‘s better not to have all combos in the second half in case there is a need for a Plan B. I‘m still anxious, though. Hopefully everything will go according to the original plan and there‘s no need for backup. It would be interesting to see the whole video, though. For the purpose of knowing whether she does a second 3Lz or 3F.

Some coaches like to tease information to breed interest. Kori Ade did it all the time before she got mad they started criticizing her. Tom Z will post videos of his skaters but also update TSL with some stuff. Sometimes information comes from skaters themselves or other skaters in the rink. That’s why information from TSL is a mixed bag and that’s why people keep watching. Generally if they say something specific it’s usually true but if it’s very speculative, it’s gossip. If you’re a casual watcher it’s hard to parse it out. As a former viewer, the concept of TSL is better than its execution. It’s been all over the place since Jenny left

Same! I‘m both so excited and anxious! I just hope everything goes well this time. I want to see happy Zhenya and Brian in the K&C after both SP and FS!
 
I'm so anxious and I won't even be able to watch any of it live. Although that might be for the better, my nerves might not make it.

I see at least one person on twitter who promises to upload Zhenya's full FP run-through today, so that's the latest when we'll now the content for sure!
