Misha is a gem. His SP for Evgenia is just beautiful and suits her well. I hope she works with him in the future as well. She should keep the SP for next season. I want to see it in its full glory with our confident Zhenya finally being back.

I don't understand that either. As I said before, 2 years ago they gave their Universiade spots to two completely different sets of skaters... Anna Pogorilaya was a University student back then, but they didn't send her to Universiade, only Worlds...

Long-time lurker, first-time poster here. I want to thank all the people that spread positivity in here.

I just want to say I'm so happy to see Evgenia's confidence coming back. Despite the less-than-stellar placement here, I think this represents a mental victory for her. I think she overcame her fear of failing and is ready to believe in herself again.

I'm actually at peace if Zhenya doesn't go to Euros or Worlds... she could use the time to let her body heal and rebuild her mental state. There's also still room for improvement in her skating skills.

Us true Zhenya fans will patiently wait for her return. She absolutely can and will make a comeback, and I believe she can have serious longevity.

She's a substitute for Universiade. So I think she meets the requiments to participate there.

Did you guys notice Zhenya and other skaters near the rink in the background when Anna and Alexandra were skating? There were a few slo-mo's that showed her intently looking and then when they'd land the jumps having a face of "good, good" and clapping for them? She's so sweet, she was basically the only one clapping for them :luv17:

This Russian Nationals has been a gift that keeps on giving for me, especially in regards to Medvedeva. From her SP change to her bombing in it. Then for her to rise as she did.

For Tarasova and Orser to appear in the same frame and have my mind blown....all the way to Evgenia having her "I don't know her/them" moment.

But most notably, got to love the sight of Tarasova jumping like she did during step sequence.

Haven't noticed her, I was too enthralled with the actual performances. Need to rewatch and look for it! That's really sweet.
