Just wanted to say that I am a huge Zhenya fan! I just try not to feed the wars between Evgenia + Alina that the media has started in that thread, so I refrain from really discussing either side. But it is not all anti-Zhenya people. Just as it is possible to be a fan of both girls

Also: I loved Zhenya's new pictures and I am very glad that she looks so happy

Honestly, I don't know what to think any more. Hopefully you are right, but I am trying not to get my hopes high. Maybe she will just ask how is the building of a new rink going.

The fact Alina fell for the very first time in the season during her program (who can say something like that about his/her preferred skater) that does not mean Alina is seriously injured. She skated her exhibition program perfectly. I don't think Alina's fans are blind at all. I say this is just baseless speculation. Also I relly think fanfest of one skater should not be misused for such speculations about other skater, nor for bellitling other groups of fans.

I don‘t think we were belittling Alina‘s fans. There are several of them in this fanfest. I myself am one of them and I don‘t like if Alina fans are insulted. But from some users it‘s very clear that they come here and post comment with an intention that‘s just not nice - and as I‘m in The Edge frequently, I know who talks badly about Zhenya and yes, I am quite surprised to see them here. But I don‘t call anyone out, as long as they manage to stay remotely respectful, they can stay if they want. No idea what kind of satisfaction it gives them but I don‘t care.

About Alina‘s injury... We were talking about Zhenya and the first signs of her starting to deteriorate. Which she did, technically, last year and even before that, whether we want to admit that or not, it‘s a fact and everyone can see that when they compare her skates over the years. Then we talked about similar signs in Alina who is an Eteri skater in the same position Zhenya was in physically a few years ago. But it was frequently said that we do not know how her situation will unfold in the future as every athlete is still a different person and in a different situation. Personally, I‘m quite worried about Alina because, yes, I like her. Just like I‘m worried about Zhenya when I see the pain patches on her back. I think we can stop this discussion now, though, it‘s getting out of hand and doesn‘t have to do with Zhenya anymore. Now we can focus on something else. And I think we have, we were posting other stuff since yesterday after all.

As I said it was related to an Evgenia post and discussion over what fluture just told you, and the edge is as toxic as it can get as I have seen over the last days.

Thank you for sharing this! I love Brian’s reactions. I had a bit of a trip down memory lane yesterday and watched his Olympic performances, not much has changed haha! He is still just as straight to the point!
