Zhenya at practice. She‘s doing her spins and apparently changed the layout for the show as she‘s doing 3F and 3S and no combo. I‘m a bit disappointed as it would have been a good way to practice the program but I guess 3-3 combos might be too hard in show-light or something??

It's ok for a show not to do a 3-3. Also, I think Zhenya has been trainning less during Christmas (she needs to have a break!) So maybe she is not in her very very best condition. For example yesterday there was a video from her doing 3S3T but no 3S3Lo so I think she's taking it easy after a small Christmas mini-break ��

Oh, it‘s totally okay! She was having fun over Christmas and New Year so it‘s absolutely understandable that she‘s not in her very best form yet. Some of the other ladies are still on holidays, aren‘t they? And she‘s already doing shows and jumping!

It was just my (admittedly very very selfish wish) to see Tosca in its “full version“ with all the jumps and spins and choreography like it was originally choreographed. But she deserves a break, too, so, take it easy, Zhenya!

Does the ice look smaller? I thought it looked there are chairs on one end? Maybe seating on the ice. Could be why she made layouts changes?

I also was hoping for the combo but still good to do flip on its own.

Not as excited to see Beautiful mess. I need a break from it after the whole music video [emoji23]

Here‘s a video of Zhenya‘s final practice and yes, the ice looks considerably smaller with the chairs and the carpet there. So it makes definitely sense for her to adjust the layout. With a smaller rink, jumping 3-3 could potentially be dangerous.

Her flip looks really good on those videos, though. Very smooth landing, definitely think she could add a 3T on that without a problem if she wanted to. Which is great to see.

I‘ll admit that while I love Beautiful Mess, I‘d absolutely prefer to see the Tango again. But it‘s too long for a show program and with too many jumps and spins for such a small rink; so Beautiful Mess will be... beautiful too.

I‘m most of all waiting for Tosca and then for Zhenya and Sima pics. :luv17: Is it normal that I‘m this excited for a show? I doubt it is but I‘m just looking forward so much to seeing Zhenya again without the anxiety inducing pressure that RusNats had.
