Oh wow, thank you! Now that I fully focused on the performance (wasn‘t quite able to at RusNats) I could finally see how beautiful this program truly is. I love the step sequence, too and the whole choreography is just amazing and it suits her so well. It’s dramatic yet very powerful and she shows emotion and passion.

Thank you, Misha Ge!! And please help Zhenya in the future, too. The two of you could create some really iconic masterpieces together!

Yes, she does different spins. The spins she does here are the ones she did during a few practice sessions at Russian Nationals. Maybe they will incorporate them into the program in competition one day? E.g. she does the typical Yuna camel position in one of the spins. Would be lovely to see it in competition

I don’t know if I’m imaging things, but I’ve noticed her spins looking different in a few performances now. I think she is pushing through her leg that is on the ice up into the spin to centre it and generate more speed. That’s a really bad explanation, but you can see it as she locks in the spin position on her camel really well. It looks beautiful and I have noticed her spins travelling a considerable amount less, so it is definitely working for her.

Really what made you think so? I thought she looked like she was hesitating sometimes but I thought it was due to the smaller rink and her having to adjust some of the choreography. But I might have to watch it again.

I think UR was within a quarter. She touched the ice on a little less than half of the turnover, but the blade down when it was less than a quarter.
