That's the question: have they already made a decision and for whatever reason they just keep it secret, or they actually really don't know what to do?
Also they reminded us today that the members of the team can get injured, so...

RusFed’s indecisiveness is so frustrating. It’s causing more animosity and drama among fs fans. Most of all, I feel for the skaters. They deserve a confirmation about who’s going to worlds so they can prepare accordingly.
At this point, I don’t think Zhenya will compete at worlds (unless RusFes really, really wants her there). But the indecision can’t be healthy for anyone. Hopefully things will get cleared up soon

I Think They might want to or they would have decided on liza already, and I think they can't get together on one person the council I mean. Mabye they couldn't find an agreement which is why they did what they did, so now they have more time

But I think if they send stasya then there is a huge risk losing those 3 spots .
Well, there is a posibility. Rusfed said some weeks ago that they were going to take into consideration the results of Universiade for worlds.

Then why didn't they give Liza or zhenya the chance there too, Liza was the second to skate there , zhenya first alternative, so why does stasya have even more chances, she wasn't good st euros either and there it was easy compared as to how world will be at least zhenya would have her pcs scores as a buffer, neither Liza or stasya will have that, I do like stasya but the choice should be between Liza and zhenya or both
If Liza and Zhenya have the possibility of going to worlds it's best for them to train this whole month.
I don't think they'll send Konstantinova, but who knows what they will actually end up doing.
Right know I just want Russia to get 3 spots for next year.

Because it is too much - especially for Liza. Doing Dragon Trophy, RCF, Universidade and possibly Worlds. In Zhenya's case she may have declined because she would stay in Russia between the events. There would be no logic in going back to Toronto and coming back the next week. She would have to say in Russia without her coaches. Those are my theories. Besides it being in Russia this year, is Universidade a big thing? It doesn't affect your world ranking or seasons best scores.
I know that Zhenya would like to be at worlds, but I still think it will a blessing in disguise if Liza is given the spot instead. Zhenya will have more time to get physically & mentally stronger, more time to work on her weaknesses and more time to begin building programs for 2019-2020.

I want her to start working with Ghislain. TSL doesn't understand why she is not working with Ghislain and implied that there may be a power struggle between Brian and Ghislain. I hope he doesn't leave TCC. I don't think Brian would prevent her from working with him. He clearly wants her to succeed.
Yes, I totally agree with the idea that Zhenya needs more time to adjust and her focus shoud be on next season.
But I also have the feeling that she really wants to go to worlds...
They just need the other two skaters, which would be Zagitova and Samodurova, to place so that the sum of their placements are 13 or less. The lowest placing skater out of three doesn't matter. I'd say they can't drop Samodurova, as they need her for her stability and consistency. But it would still be more logical to send skaters with high scoring potential who won't end up too low even if they mess up a bit as the other two, not Konstantinova who still doesn't have that high of a scoring potential compared to a close to clean Zagitova or even to clean Evgenia or Liza, but who can mess up really badly, be scored accordingly (also on the PCS) and drop really low as a result.
Hasn’t Ghislain worked with both of Brian’s OGMs? Brian’s ego didn’t get in the way with Yuzu or Yuna, why would it be an issue with Zhenya? Maybe there’s another reason?

TSL always like to take the dramatic/gossip route when it comes to explaining certain things. AFAIK, Dave already answered this matter: Ghislain has too much on his plate. He's being flown to Japan for Hanyu and he's also working with Hamada and Lambiel. The latter are probably just some short contracts but the time spent away or diverted attention from TCC adds up.
Anyway, count me in for #Zhenya4Saitama ([emoji23]). Despite of her shortcomings with the jumps, she's on a upward trend towards being more competitive and being sure of herself. I found myself feeling calm than expected when watching her. I do hope the feds take account of this mentality.

I’m really annoyed that Rusfed isn’t giving a definitive answer because if Evgenia isn’t going to Worlds or is for sure an alternate she could be focusing on other parts of her training. And even though this is a Evgenia fan fest I do feel the worst for Liza. She said at RCF that she was tired of having to prove herself and I agreed with her. I think it’s really nice and classy of Evgenia to give props to Liza.
No one knows what the day to day training in TCC is really like but I’m sure Evgenia will work closely with Ghislan in the near future if she hasn’t already for a bit, I think the focus was on the 2A since that’s Brian’s specialty and the spins because of her injury. If you think about how her stroking skills have also improved so much, she’s actually done a lot.

I'm sure she wants to go so badly. I would be disappointed if they didn't send her but if it was Liza instead I could accept it cause she deserves it, too.
