I'm thrilled she gets to experience Worlds with her close team around her! It will be both an amazing opportunity and a difficult one, due to the backlash she will get, but I believe she'll be able to make the best of the situation and skate all-out to prove herself once more. Having friends who understand what you're going through is sure to help with that.

I must admit I didn't expect her to be added straight to the team! It shows Rusfed have faith in her, and obviously trust that she is improving.
Despite the hate, Zhenya has shown once again that she isn't to be cast aside and forgotten - she wasn't messing around when she said she was in this for the long haul and wants to stick around.

I'll be cheering her on from England! Although I don't know if my nerves will handle watching her live!!

Kazuki Tomono is an alternative for Japan so Misha might go, it would be really cool if Misha made the trip for Zhenya too!

I always wake up randomly at odd hours when she skates in different time zones. I expect very little sleep that week.

I usally do as well, but I will have to work on Wednesday and Friday morning. For me the SP and FS will be in the morning especially the last group of skaters (((

Hello! Longtime lurker and ice queen stan here. I read this thread a lot but only just got a GS account (and have no idea how to use it). I have always liked Zhenya, and I grew to love her during the 2018 Olys and I am so proud of her beautiful, perseverant, ascendant self. She could sneeze and I would applaud.
There's just something really special about Zhenya. I can't pinpoint what it is, but it is wonderful, and I know that it draws thousands of people to support her every day.
I also wanted to join in the discussion and say that I am happy for Zhenya, although I am devastated for Liza and also a little scared because Zhenya will get intense criticism for rusfed's choice matter how she performs at Worlds and also because she gets less time to train. Imo both Liza and Zhenya earned their spots this year, and I am sad that they didn't both get to go. I would also advise everyone here to stay off of fs twitter because people are being a little vicious.

So, both the short and the free will be happening in the morning/early in the day for me, so in theory I might be able to watch live... if I can handle my nerves.

Hmmm for me too it seems. Short would start at 7, and the free at 9:30, and I'll probably miss the first couple of groups if no one of importance to me is there

I am just going to yet again, attempt to unplug for the day at work from all types of social media so the results remain unspoiled (cough, ISU I look at you for posting results all over the second they are done). That strategy did not work for 4CC... but it will this time. Yeah. I bet.
