Someone on another site said that it was probably a bad translation of a Washington Post article that stated Evgenia was "returning" to Russia in the context of her returning to the national team. Makes sense.

People in the Russian ladies thread are citing a Canadian French article about Evgenia leaving Brian Orser... this seems really ridiculous to me but I thought I’d ask it in here what the validity of this article is?

At least some facts are wrong there. For instance, they claim that Zhenya went to 2018 WC.

As I posted in the Russian ladies thread, Yuzuru's received $100k a YEAR(scholarship) for his training expenses in Canada from 2012 to 2014.
Patrick Chan's training expenses was revealed to be $120k Canadian $ a YEAR in 2011(from Patrick's fundraising dinner info,)

If Evgenia need to spend USD90k a month in Canada must mean inflation rates increased 500%. Hahahaha. Then I would wonder how Jun Hwan, Jason Brown, Gabby Daleman, Joseph phan, even Stephen Gogolev can afford to train at TCC.

Around USD200k a YEAR is more realistic.

This is a transcript of a podcast. Jason says he does two on ice sessions a day at TCC (on top of other stuff), sometimes he adds a morning session but they are intense sessions.

Just some funny information. I've just watched a video where Zhenya was singing autographs after Cup of Russia, and she said how tall she was. 158.5 cm (5.18 ft). To me, she definitely looks bigger than that on ice.

It's because they're all so tiny! I also always imagine skaters taller, somehow that's how they look on the ice. If I didn't have to think about it, I'd estimate Zhenya's height as about the same as mine (1.70), but she's more than 10cm shorter in reality...

This, and also the fact that the skates themselves add about 5cm more!
