Just some funny information. I've just watched a video where Zhenya was singing autographs after Cup of Russia, and she said how tall she was. 158.5 cm (5.18 ft). To me, she definitely looks bigger than that on ice.

Well, the skates do increase the height, but her presence on the ice is so strong that she seems taller. The best example of this effect is Alena Kostornaia: when she skates, I can't imagine that she is only 148 cm tall!

Yes, it's craazy. I'm rememberind last year's worlds, where people were literally rooting for Stanislava to fall and mess big time during her skate; now it's ×20 times worse. Glad Zhenya is in Canada.

Last year worlds was rough. Sometimes people forget these girls are human and have feelings. For rusfed to name Stasya to the worlds team this year allowing her to get savaged until Zhenya or Liza replaced her was not right. They should have just named Zhenya and not put Stasya through that.

This is a transcript of a podcast. Jason says he does two on ice sessions a day at TCC (on top of other stuff), sometimes he adds a morning session but they are intense sessions.

Hello everyone!
I found this site and this thread in particular around October and has always come back to it for answers and opinions.
I am a long fan of figure skating myself (I think I've watched almost every big competition since I was like 12) and I have always admired Zhenya. I was really rooting for her during the Olympics but it has been since this season that I have become a dedicated fan.
Seeing her struggling through changes and being so dedicated to her dream is so so inspiring to me. This season of struggle and instability made me respect her so much!
With all hustle before the worlds I finally decided to join this fan fest, so I can share my thoughts and emotions with people who are like me. :hap93:

tbh, I'd be way more at ease to know that she's not going on social media at all right now, but hopefully she isn't and only checked instagram because someone else told her this was going on...

Yes, I think we all want her to stay away from social media, until Worlds.

I don‘t mind her occasionally opening instagram and see a wave of big hearts in her comments, though. But it‘s her decision. I really hope she just focuses on the love and support and ignores everything else.

Oh yeah, the tone was clearly VERY annoyed for an official statement. Didn't it end with something like "We'd wish some experts would check their facts first"?. And they downright mocked the insane sum of money the article claimed Zhenya was getting from the fed. I had to chuckle.
