ABOUT RUSSIAN FIGURE SKATING FEDERATION EXPENCES ON EVGENIA MEDVEDEVA'S TRAINING IN CANADA

A recent interview with journalist Sergey Dadygin on Zvezda TV channel and information about the expences of RusFed associated with training of the Russian national team member Evgenia Medvedeva in Canada appeared on the Internet, was puzzling and outraged experts and the apparatus of the Federation of figure skating of Russia. Last year, the President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation of Russia Alexander Gorshkov, responding to questions from the media, said that neither the Russian Ministry of Sport nor the Russian Federation of Figure Skating do not pay for the services of a new coach, Eugenia Medvedeva, Canadian Brian Orser, but they cover the costs of Evgenia's training in the same aspects and in the same amount as the other skaters of the main National team. This includes travel of the athlete and coach for competitions and control events held by the Federation, provision of equipment (boots, skates), costumes for trainings and competitions, payment for choreography of competitive programs, rental of housing located close to training sites and, if necessary, payment consultation and treatment. All this is dozens of times less than who knows where the "fantastic" amount of 6 million rubles a month comes from. And in this regard, it is absolutely incomprehensible to whom and for what purpose it was necessary to spread deliberately false information, linking it with the formation of the Russian team for participation in the upcoming World Championship in Japan. I would like to remind the newly-minted “specialists” that figure skating is not football and not hockey, therefore, unfortunately, our athletes have not even dreamed of the amount of 6 million a month!

I was also hoping she would stay away from social media, but, hopefully, she learned how not to pay attention. It is really difficult, though, even RusFed had to step in. Because there was an article about expenses of Zhenya's training (again). And they had to give an official contradiction (again). Actually, tone of their statement made me think that they are pretty annoyed by all of this.

At one point, didn’t Zhenya say that she has another Instagram account that’s private & that only her closest friends & family know about? Maybe she’s been checking that account & someone alerted her. Anyway, I think she knows which sites & accounts are safe for her to visit based on her social media detox late last year.

Yas. Her FS StSq. I love it so much. Both her SP's and FS' Step Sequences are so on fire. I am always clapping like a maniac at home when she does her StSq in competition LOL

Awwwwwwwwwww this is sooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!!!! And also like you, it made me emotional too! The first time I saw her was at those Worlds, although 1 year later, and I was practically rooting for her from the SP! Like, I knew it had already happened, but I was like "I hope she won!" And then 1 month after watching that she won again! That summer I watched her programs about a million times. The Olympics broke my heart, and here I am now ^_^
