Evgenia Medvedeva

Welcome to her fanfest. Post often. What was the first competition you saw her in? :)

Thank you will do. :) Saw her at Skate Canada in Mississauga, her long program. She was incredible, really enjoyed her performance. I think she'll have another incredible performance in a few days!

No, I meant they wouldn’t travel on separate days, as in “traveling together“. It’s very likely that they don’t actually sit in the same plane because they live in different cities. But they should all arrive in Japan the same day. I should have clarified that. It doesn‘t make a whole lot of sense to have one half of team Russia go to Saitama a day earlier than the other skaters. RusFed is paying for their stay, after all, so unless Alina and her team would decline being there a day earlier, it makes sense that all of Team Russia (wherever they live) will travel to Japan the same day. That‘s why I think Team Tutberidze should be on their way already.

But we will see tomorrow at practice! I hope Zhenya is fit. I always love to see the practice sessions. She‘s so free there and there‘s no pressure. Good luck, Zhenya! And good luck to the whole Team Cricket!

The Canadian team doesn't always travel on the same day.

I also think people are overthinking the jet-lag thing. Most of the skaters I've seen are traveling this weekend. You have to remember that leaving earlier disrupts your training, and if the fed isn't arranging ice for them all that's a big problem.

The Russian pair team arrived early but they probably had to make their own arrangements. They did this for 4CC too.

The video of the arrival is lovely!😚

I don't understand why Zhenya couldn't travel earlier as well. She's still a member of the Russian team after all.

The one pairs team is the only ones who I have seen to arrive early. She is not being left out as everyone else is arriving the same time.

I have to admit, I‘ve been trying to figure out these kind of schedules since I‘ve become a skating fan. I‘m still not able to do it. They‘re confusing. :laugh2:

The completely colored collumns are the practices and the collums where the color is just at the end and at the beggining of the collumn are the competition times :)

Okay, I'll try to make it a little clear filtering only the Ladies's schedule and Zhenya's group:

Monday: practice from 13:15-13:50 (Main Rink) and 17:45-18:20 (Practice rink).

Tuesday: practices from 9:40-10:15 (Practice Rink) and 20:40-21:15 (Main Rink).

Wednesday: practice from 9:15-13:15 (practice rink). Short Program starts 15:05 and ends 20:57.

Thursday: practices from 16:30-19:20 (practice rink).

Friday: practice from 8:00-10:50 (main rink). Free Skate starts 17:30 and ends 21:57 followed by Victory Ceremony.

Sunday: Gala exhibition from 15:00-18:00.

Note: from Wednesday on, the practice groups will change according to the new competition groups. The SP draw is Tuesday 16:45.

(All times are in Saitama time zone GMT+9)
Hope to have made a bit more clear!
Good luck to our Zhenya!
