Same. I had no idea about Billie Eilish and to be honest, her music isn‘t really my cup of tea either. But Zhenya loves her, so why not?

She could do an amazing, tongue-in-cheek Copycat program.

She should still do Bad Guy. She genuinely loves Billie and I think Misha is really good at making "modern" exhibitions and Zhenya is great at interpreting them, especially since we've seen her playful and cheeky side with 7 Rings. It'd be really fun for her, and fun to watch too

But the thing is, is she really going to enjoy it now?
I know Zhenya's IG stories are funny, but she must be feeling very frustrated - she's never had that reaction.

It was really cool and refreshing to watch Zhenya skate in SOI and Ice Fantasia, but now... I don't want to watch FAOI. It just ruined the mood

Just trying to get the facts here. Zhenya did not announce that this would be her ex but we have been seeing lately her interest in the song on IG for the past few weeks. Or did she say "I would like to skate to this"? Now that Alina has chosen this music, or her team has, people are thinking it was done on purpose or stolen? On the other hand unless she announced she would skate to it I don't know how it can be seen as stolen.

I am on Zhenya's side but this does not make Zhenya's fans look good if some are saying "they stole it" - not saying anyone specifically here but on the internet.

It‘s not literally stealing, obviously, and I would not go around blaming Alina now. But it does seem a bit weird and I guess it must feel the same to Zhenya, too. Especially since she was actively showing her interest in this music, throwing hints everywhere for at least the last month or so. She did not outright say or announce anything and even if she did - it‘s not forbidden to skate to the same music, or else we would not get hundreds of variations of Carmen and Romeo and Juliet every year. But it’s just an awkward situation.

And I think Zhenya‘s reaction was about right. Just some funny, slightly sarcastic comments. But I guess she‘s feeling frustrated now. I hope her and Misha throw down an amazing program, whatever they choose. If she doesn‘t want it to be Billie Eilish now, well, why not do EXO? I could see an amazing program to that as well.

Oh dear.. imagine that. I think it could be true. She’s been throwing hints out there everywhere and she’s known for showing lots of different exhibitions during the off-season.

Maybe they can create a new program? It‘s only a few days until she goes to Japan and I don‘t think Misha is in Toronto but they‘ve done programs in a short period of time before. Take an EXO song, or Copycat, or anything else Zhenya loves and make something amazing of it.

Yeah, the thing is Zhenya has been liking a lot of Billi stuff for a few months. And on Monday there was an interview with Zhenya in which she mention Bad Guy. Two or three days after another skater started to follow Billi on IG and well you know the rest of the story. Of course it wasn't stolen, a lot of people use the same music in skating LOL. It's just too much coincidence for some.

Judging by Zhenya's reaction I think it wasn't the first time they did this. And I guess that's why we got program announcements so soon.

I feel bad for her. I don't think she's going to rest mentally in FAOI now. But we can't do anything now.

Yeah, I know, but hasn‘t she said they actually choreographed parts of Tosca per Skype? Of course, Misha came to TCC to really work on it but I thought since this is just an ex, it could work.. But she leaves in one and a half days anyway, so it‘s not really enough time anyway.

Then she should still do it. But when could have she and Misha met to do this program? Also, we don't know if Alina's ex is for the Japan shows or for her competitive season.

I don‘t know if it‘s true. If it is, Zhenya will decide whether she‘ll be comfortable enough to do it or not. I don‘t know but they have met some time to choreograph 7 rings, too. Maybe they did both programs then?

Last year she skated to Experince, Memories and Wind Mills of your mind. (I think some of those were suggested by the organizers since there is live singing).
