Evgenia Medvedeva

Yes, about 36,5 points are way too low!
Brian Orser's nervous presence is making me so nervous, too even though I'm only watching the replay.

I‘ve watched it and got goosebumps. One thing. Second thing. Her calming down the crowd so that Mariah could prepare - people were cheering so loudly and so hard for her but it only took one gesture and they went completely silent. Speak about power this girl has. And sportsmanship. I‘m a happy and proud fan today.

She has IT. Whatever that is! She's one of a kind!

So happy to see her stand in the middle again at the press event after the short. She also said that things were easier for her when she was 15, and she cannot do as much as she did then anymore. But she is happy to skate at home.

Also this is the placement she already had after ACI, but she is ranked 4th for highest SP score of the season. 2nd best for a no-3A program! Only one that was higher was Alena at Finlandia. But with no 3A, she has one of the highest short scores of the season!

Yuzu did that at SCI as Nam was about to start his FS - I thought, that's a mark of a great sportsman - one who is not afraid to give other athletes their chance to shine. Zhenya, a great sportsman.

“Three years ago I didn‘t think that my life would be like this, that I would be in Canada and start to train there. But everything will depend on my health - if I feel mentally and physically like I do now, I‘ll at least skate until I‘m 38. I love figure skating. It is my life.“

“I will keep working as long as my legs carry me, my body works, my health allows it.“

“I don‘t do as much as I could when I was 15. You remember how easy everything was for me. Now everything is different. Even old ways of training don‘t work for me anymore.“

The first part is automatically translated so no guarantees it‘s correct. But what an interview. Especially that she will skate until she is 38 years if she is healthy... That was unexpected and also oddly specific somehow. But it makes me very, very happy to see that she loves this sport so much.

38 if her legs and body, overall health and mental health is quite long bit well more than one Olympic games where she could be for all we know

Huge congratulations to Zhenya.

Joy and Pride overwhelms me for the skater because of which I began to watch figure skating.

Good luck to her tomorrow.

Thank you for sharing these links! She loves skating so deeply, her passion for it is infectious, and, gosh, well, I hope she can keep going for years to come, so that we can watch her weaving her magic on the ice for years to come.

But it makes me very, very happy to see that she loves this sport so much.

Agreed!

I just got home and watched her SP. It was fantastic. She skated it calmly and beautifully. :yahoo:   :)
