After what happened at worlds, I think Evgenia has a real chance of getting back to the Olympics. Anna and Valieva are kinda in already unless something happens, i.e. injury, withdrawal etc. The third spot is up for grabs.

Aliona - have to get back her form and doesnt have the international reputation to back it up yet
Trusova - is really a gamble. She bombs her jumps and will probably have to prove consistency. She also doest have the international reputation yet.
Liza - Former world champion but is not getting good pcs. So she depends on her 3A which is also a hit or miss.
Evgenia - has the best international reputation. Even way better that Alina, she won everything twice and has a long career. She has gained her previous form as we've seen in her recent performances.

I really think Evgenia has a big chance of making it to the Olympics. She doesnt even need a 3A or a quad. But if she learns one, then she might just have a shot at gold. I hope Evgenia comes back strong!!

Thank you. Ive been reading this forum for a long time already. Years. But, just recently registered. Zhenya is really a beautiful skater. I miss her with Brain Orser, they've made so beautiful choreo and skate. But Eteri is also really good at training her to be consistent. I know Zhenya is more than these two wonderful coaches. She's really talented. I wish Brian and Eteri can team up and train Zhenya together. That would be wonderful. But that's impossible hahaha

Man, that would be something, wouldn't it? I think that would be the ideal situation, if they could coach her together. She could train with Brian and let Eteri wield political influence for her. Yeah, that won't happen, though.
