Evgenia Medvedeva

I love her mature post. And it might be better she is not on the team. She doesn't have to do test skates. And if she was on it and someone else was left off, it would be huge drama. She will still get competitions this year and I'm sure she will be ready in September for a Challenger spot.
What the h*** have Maya and Dasha as much as we like them done to get 2 GPs? I would hesitate to give them both 2. It's fine they are on the team and obviously Zhenya did not compete last season. To me the only girls sure of getting 2 GPs are 3A plus KV and Liza.

That's 10. If Zhenya is fit she deserves 2 certainly at least one and then you divvy up the rest between a few skaters.

If going back to EG and TT is worth it we will find out with whatever competitions Zhenya gets. But it's all irrelevant if her health is not good. Let's see what happens and where she is at come August.

I feel so sorry about EM not being in the team. What does it mean for her? Will she be able to pay her trainings, doctors, dresses and everything else?

Zhenya won't have any issues paying for her expenses and training :) she has more than enough sponsors and contracts. She managed to pay for her training in Canada without any issues for two years and that was before her new contracts with Nestlé, Ozon, Halls, Honkai Impact, Lacoste etc.

There are all sorts of funding. Not just National but Regional too. And also, as a member of Sambo-70 does that mean something? She's giving 40% of her earnings to Eteri so why wouldn't she be given ice-time, doctors etc.

Exactly. I think I‘ve said it in the RLT before but Zhenya‘s very likely to make the Moscow team. Not the same amount of funding as in the main National team but still a decent amount. This + her income from new sponsorships should be more than enough. Honestly, the only thing that might stand between Zhenya and the continuation of her career, is her health. It‘s a big factor, admittedly, and it worries me quite a lot but if she manages to overcome that, I don‘t see something like money holding her back.

This is too cute!

Olympic champion Evgenia Medvedeva shared her secrets of success with Spartak's young sledge hockey players

“I came to talk to the guys, we are all athletes, we must support each other and learn from each other. In any sport, including sledge hockey, endurance and patience are important. Of course, we all want quick results, but it doesn't work that way. You need patience, hard work and love for what you do "

“There is no universal remedy for anxiety or a miracle pill. Work and hard training helps with any excitement. When you have done 250 times more of what is required, then everything will work out. Hard work helps to prepare for trials from the side of health and mental state. If all this can be overcome, strength and confidence appear - the recipe is simple."

"We had a warm conversation and skated on the ice with the guys from the Children's Sledge Hockey League.
It was them who took first place in the "You are in the game" competition, in which thousands of amateur sports projects from all over Russia took part.
Sledge Hockey is an analogue of ice hockey for people with disabilities. It is also called sleigh hockey.
In the league, along with everyone, kids who have health problems play. This is very cool, because through sports they become physically stronger and stronger in spirit!
The Children's Sledge Hockey League was invented in Moscow, but there are already teams in 25 regions of Russia, and each season there are more and more of them.
I want to say a huge thank you to the children and the organizers for the great company on the ice! And I would like to find many more outstanding projects in amateur sports for the competition "You are in the game"!
Sport is the norm!"

The ice club Nevsky ice in St. Petersburg thanked the Team Tutberidze team for the wonderful ice show. The young skaters who helped during the show were their skaters.

They also give a special thanks to Zhenya and her mom for gifting the young skaters plushies

"Special thanks to @jmedvedevaj and her mother for dozens of bears gifted to the children"
