Ummmnm - somebody is a Hanson fan???
Uh YES!!!!! I know I'm 19, but Hanson is my favorite band and favorite artists!!!!
You should get together with my cousin. She is absolutely obsessed with Hanson. (She's 33 next month). EVERY time they are in the UK, she goes to meet them. And she's even gone to see them overseas a few times.
Here's a photo she uploaded to Facebook on Sunday.
See what I mean?
Useless piece of information - I was born on the same day as Zac Hanson (22nd October 1985)
As for the question. Well, I've already said a few times on this forum that I wanted somebody (anybody!) to do a Gala routine to "Big World" by local singer Paul Casey.
(For some reason, the link I used before is now pointing to another of his songs, "Different Planet", which I don't like. So, since I can't find a full copy of the recorded version, here is a sample... with the verses edited out! If you want to hear the words, there are a few live recodings on YouTube, but they're not as good as the recorded version).
The version with lyrics is SOOOO much better than the instrumental. But, since lyrics are now allowed in competition, I suppose it could be done for the judges too.
As for other songs, I'll have to think about it. I have made it obvious that I don't like having lyrics in competition, so I haven't really thought about songs that could be used.

Chandelier by Sia
Because you guys have introduced so many modern songs. I will play the devil here. Classical music ALL THE WAY!
1) Schubert
Gute Nacht (Because Thomas Quasthoff ROCKS): http://youtu.be/iJETtWr47PY
Erlkonig (Okay Jessye Norman I love you but you were in character too much) : http://youtu.be/8noeFpdfWcQ
2) Mendelssohn
Auf Flügeln Des Gesanges (why, because Victoria de los Ángeles is HEAVEN) http://youtu.be/hc4QC35LfhU
3) Rachmaninoff
Vocalise (why, because it's Dessay!!) http://youtu.be/5ZIQ2pHaJ1I
4) Mozart
Queen of the night (lol, Damrau was born to sing this aria) http://youtu.be/DvuKxL4LOqc?t=2m10s
Don Giovanni - Là ci darem la mano (lol this aria is actually creepy as hell but because of the great Abbado who just passed away): http://youtu.be/xfti-KQoxXM
5) Dvořák
Song to the moon (why, because this was taken when Anna Netrebko was utterly beautiful) http://youtu.be/MwuNqcKUxto
And yes, this is the mermaid song I want to see on ice, not your LP music last season, Anna Pogorilaya!
6) Beethoven
Choral fantasy (why, I love it more than Sym 9): http://youtu.be/kCsNlSMAq44
YES, Tatsuki, this is the Beethoven music that I want to see you skate to, NOT that Sym 9 (how hideous that music cut is)
I will just leave them here.
What puzzled me is, even when vocal was not allowed, there are still plenty instrumental choices for skaters to choose. It doesn't have to be Rach 2, Swan Lake, Carmen or POTO. Then why??I have never thought about people skating to Queen of the Night but that would actually be quite interesting to see, love Diana Damrau, I'd like to see someone skate to something by Juan Diego Florez though because I'm convinced that for males he has the most beautiful voice on earth
anyway with Chandelier by Sia it's one of those songs that can easily overpower the skater so I'm convinced it'd be good competition music
