Favourite Programs this Quad

I really need to catch up on programs since I took a break from following figure skating, but just out of the programs I've seen recently:

Ladies
Wakaba Higuchi, "Skyfall" - (...)

Kaetlyn Osmond, "Sous Le Ciel De Paris" - (...)

Men
Yuzuru Hanyu, "Hope and Legacy" -(...)

Patrick Chan, "Hallelujah" - (...).

Pairs
Sui/Han, "Blues for Klook" - (...)

Sui/Han, "Bridge over Troubled Water" - (...)

Savchenko/Massot, "La Terre Vue du Ciel" - (...)

Ice Dance

Virtue/Moir, "Moulin Rouge" - (...)

Papadakis/Cizeron, "Moonlight" - (...)

I thought of giving this thread a go but you just said everything. Especially about Yuzuru's Hope & Legacy, Patrick's Hallelujah and Wakaba's Skyfall.

I agree with other popular choices here like Satoko's "The Planets", Yuzuru's SEIMEI/Chopin Ballade Nº1, Karen Chen's "Golden Pond" and Adam's "Birds". With the last one I've never been a big of a fan of him for whatever reason but this one caught my attention.

I'll add Pang/Tong's "Io Ci Saro" (Worlds 2015 LP), since I didn't see it being mentioned yet.

And of course I didn't forget Boyangman!

For honorable mention, I think Nathan's Nemesis has brilliant choreography. Shae-Lynn Bourne is a genius, no wonder she also did Yuzuru's H&L which I love. I'm usually not too fond of repeating programs, but I would love to see him in a few years return to this program once he matures/improves even more. I think it would elevate it to new heights if it could be be performed more outwardly.

From juniors (because why not?):

Rika Kihira's "Kung Fu Piano" SP (!!)
Anastasia Gubanova's "The Swan" SP and "Romeo and Juliet" LP (both overdone pieces but she was enchanting)
Polina Tsurskaya "Light of the Seven" SP

I can't speak for other disciplines in juniors because I pratically just watch the ladies there.

I was debating whether to add Alena Kostornaia's programs this season but I can't figure out if I like her programs or that's just because I adore her.

Edit: I can't believe I forgot Sui/Han's "Stray Cat Strut"! Which is oddly enough one of my favourite programs for them. I can't discern either if that's because I like the program itself (it does have great moments well timed with the music) or if it's because of their sheer quality, speed and how everything is absolutely effortless. Strange since as one can see form my other choices my taste tends to be a bit consistent... A similar phenomenon happened with Yuzuru's "Let's Go Crazy", which I can that it has great choreography but it isn't the type of program I usually go for. I wonder if it was another less stellar skater I would be a bit reluctant. Maybe Yuzuru could sell me 'Cats' with full on costume and by some force of nature I would end up loving it. (no offense to the fans of Cats!).

If i had to pick one program from anyone to watch for the rest of my life, I’d pick Javi’s Guys & Dolls, hands down. Just pure, gorgeous skating and what a level of performance! On another level!

From each discipline:
Josh’s Give Me Love for men’s short
Sui & Han’s Blues for Klook and Vanessa & Morgan’s Sound of Silence for pairs
Pogo’s Scent of a Woman or Caro’s Ne me quitte pas (can’t choose!) and Ashley’s Moulin Rouge for ladies
Shibs’ That’s Life and Gaby & Guillaume’s Moonlight Sonata for dance
If I had to pick a junior program: Nathan’s Michael Jackson SP, definitely :agree:

It's a given for me that Ashley Wagner's 2016 Moulin Rouge will stand out the most
Also
Kaori Sakamoto - Amelie
Wakaba Higuchi - Skyfall
Medvedeva - Anna Karenina at the Olympics -the first time I connected with one of her programs

Adam Rippon - Beatles Medley 2016

Shibs - Fix you

I stopped watching pairs after Shen/Zhao left for good, and S/H Blues for Klook pulled me back in in a profound way. I then went back to see other pairs stuff from the past 8 years and that one still wins.

For men, Yuzu's Chopin.

For ice dance P/C Moonlight Sonata, it took me a couple of times (maybe until EC) but then there was no going back. One of my all time faves not just this quad.

For women................. Nothing off the top off my head. But I probably enjoy women's the most, so it's not a negative, just not a single stand out but so many. (I also think the post-Mao/Yuna era for me means something different than before but that's another story.)

Gubanova's Romeo and Juliet FS at JGPF has been by far my favorite program...I return to it so very often...as for others:

Ashley's Worlds 2016 FS
Kaetlyn's SP this and last season
Pogorilaya's SP last season
Pogorilaya's FS last season (with the exception of Worlds)
Nathan's Nemesis
Yuzuru's Seimei
Kostornaia's SP
Honda's FS at Junior Worlds 2017
Kanako's Think of Me
Yu/Zhang Swan Lake
Yu/Zhang Star Wars
Javier's Modern Times
Chartrand' Gone with the Wind (when she skated it well)
Adam's Birds program
Ashley's La La Land (seeing it now is kinda beautifully tragic if you dramatize it like I do)
Sui/han's turandot
Anything Mao did
Shoma's Turandot

Best program of the quad was Laurine Lecavelier's "Experience" SP [emoji813]

That showed me the true power of what the sport can achieve.
