A great skate! A deserved score! Gabby brings the drama in a way that is so natural and effective! I love that look she gives the judges after the first set of twizzles. She really knows how to fix a moment in the camera or the judge's minds.

I've never seen Gaby with such a competition-face mode. Crazy ! She is really a fierce competitor and she does not even try to hide it... it translated SO WELL on the ice (and off-ice !).
When they skated, it felt like they kept things for them during the GPs for us to see later (today!). Little movements, facial expressions and so on... it added much more depth. Their lines too... wozaaaa
I like that they skated right after Tessa&Scott (who weren't perfect today in my eyes). They need this type of pressure to learn and know they can definitely do it. A good test for them.
I still want that missing level and that 83+ though
I hope they can keep the focus and the energy on the FD. Again, a clean skate !

Their SD is pure happiness. They were the bosses. They are still improving their personal best. Their joy was a pleasure to see. Congratulations for managing the pressure. We already know it but they are great great champions (and they are adorable) .
If I summarize their beginning of the season:
-2 world records for the free (this may be wrong on Saturday)
-personal records for the short dance at each competition
-2 world records (this may be wrong on Saturday)
- beat V/M on the short dance: ok
-beat V/M on the free dance : ok (in Helsinki)

Agreed. There is still the FD on saturday, and I'm sure they'll keep the focus in. Today just showed one thing that is excellent to know for BOTH teams, and also for the Shibs : you skate clean, you win. You can't just hope to take it on PCS anymore. This is almost the Ice Dance judging dream.
The gap is very small, but they can definitely do it. Well I hope they will.

VM could use such a coach, as they were the ones stressed on this occassion

I am soo sooo sooooo happy to see her self-confidence. I really feel that in fact, the whole blabla about her being less skilled before was nothing but a certain lack in self-confidence compared to Guillaume. She is so good, so glorious to watch, she is so funny and dramatic and such a great actress, there never was any reason for her to doubt her capacities.
There is no known limit to what these two can do if they trust themselves.

I'm sure they have a mental coach too, I understand they have a pretty big team around them. Sports at this level is such a mental game, I don't know how they withstand so much pressure, they have to be wired another way than normal folks because most would implode. I know they're trained since they're young but still.

Also we were talking some time ago about the training situation in Gadbois and P/C gave an answer in the SD press conference when asked what was their support system. They immediately mentioned their coaches but right after their friends at the rink being a big part for daily support. Proof is how Gaby always give a shout out to Luis Fenero in the K&C.

Just watch the videos from before and now, it's not difficult to notice: there are black satin-like ribbon lines stitched to the pants and top, but now the lines on the top have been upgraded with a colour gradient going over the whole rainbow and BLING! I love it!!
I doubt though that this is some kind of statement, at least not in that sense...
I didn't think about how my words could be perceived...

Thanks! I noticed the lines, but on my computer screen they looked like black glitter, not rainbow. I'll have to turn up the colour contrast and really watch the slow-motion sections (such a terrible hardship, that... )
