It is difficult to say ... it was quite disorienting with the camera work. Different perspective. It looks like they had to restrain their power ... lack of space?

I want to be a French commentator. The less you know the better it seems.
"The bearded guy is Guillaume. He's the male skater. He's good. The one in the dress is Gabriella, magnificent and beautiful.
They are so accomplished. You can see them do something extremely well. Just look at them. They are so great. And French. It's a delight to watch them, I'm sure you're glued to your screens also. Look at that. Isn't that just brilliant? We think it is. The white ice contrasts so nicely with their costumes. They're black. Very impressively black. The music is special too. They are the music. And the ice. They are world champions. They are the best. This is Special. They glide over the ice! It's so detailed. You could see, they did all kinds of detailed things, very gracefully. They are Gabriella (left) and Guillaume (right). They really are something else. It's such a joy to watch them. It's really hard what they do. They work hard. You wouldn't say when you see them, but I know that they really work hard. It really feels like... It gives the impression... It's really quality... of emotion... of art... it's sublime. Going back to the RD ... am I the only one who'd like a little bit of a snap in the second half of the dance, especially in the non-touching sections? It looks gorgeous as is of course but they did add the "snap" (for like of a better word) to this section in last year's SD at the OG and Worlds and it made a huge difference to me. It would mesh with the Primavera.
Finally watched the free...so beautiful. I think I am slowly making my peace with the music, haha...honestly they simply can make anything work, as we have discussed.
I noticed the leg rubbing thing yesterday but not today...anyway I hope all is well and they are just tired from the flying/jet lag etc...

I'll mourn the loss of that third set of twizzles, it was really pretty. The lifts were untouched, as expected.
Protocol is pretty much what I expected, the DiSt was better at IDF (only level 3 here) but the one-foot steps were incredible (two 4s), so much amplitude and ice coverage. They changed a couple of transitions already, most notably the entrance into the character steps. I suspected they might, because they didn't start right at the edge of the rink at IDF like they are supposed to, so a strict panel could have dinged them for it. This is fixed now. I still want them to do more with the DiSt, they have to do such a small number of turns now, there really should be more going on in there. Compare it to the MiSt last season...

I totally agree about the 3rd set of twizzles and the brief turn of the head by Guillaume to look at Gabi before that. The arm positions and the gentle torque of their upper bodies! They’ll maybe return to that?
In the stationary lift at the beginning, Gabi no longer dips into that womb position but instead Guillaume only makes contact with one of her legs and flips her right into the 3rd position on his back. It’s smoother now but I still like the detail of the previous iteration.
I loved the previous transition to the Character steps, where they do sort of an Ina Bauer brake that meshes their body momentum with the momentum of the music! The current version where they kind of hug each other is a little too “pretty” and disjointed from the before and after moves.
Also I dislike that transition where Gabi straddles Guillaume. The previous version was a little plain and I thought they could add more intricacy to that moment but not this generic straddling please!

Right that is it then I'm gonna start calling them Geneviève et Robert much less sexy than Gaby and Guillaume but much funnier
