Gabriella Papadakis & Guillaume Cizeron

Me too, the connection between them is so evident and translate even more from their skating. Also, this FD is much more intimate and it shows. All we can hope for them is to perform the best they can, anyway I just love watching them medal or not. Also, i think they're working on an exhibition program, it was not clear from Cizeron's instagram. But it looks different, a bit more Hip Hop, that would be good to show critical people they can skate whichever style they want.

Or maybe this is a preparation for next year's SD. Blues is obligatory pattern, but hip hop an additional one so I would connect it that way

Guillaume writes under the video: "Working on our show number for #artonice2016 with @samchouin15 (thanks for the soundtrack too) can't wait to perform it with @gabriellapapadakis". So it is for an exhibition. @samchouin15 is dance choreographer Sam Chouinard.

I guess I was not clear if it was just for art on ice or could we hope to see it as an exhibition in the Euros gala. Well we'll know soon enough. I enjoyed seing those short videos of P/C working with Sam Chouinard. They both really know how to move. I just don't know how hip hop can't be successfully translated on the ice. Not to easy IMO.

As Europeans are before Art on Ice, I am not sure that they will skate this program at the gala. Most likely the premiere is supposed to happen at Art on Ice.

Oh, Im sorry. That was about their new gala program. I thought we'll see it at Euros, not just at Art on ice :(

Oh, okay. Just don't scare us like that again. As for P/C's new exhibition, we may yet see it at the Worlds gala. Although probably not, since it will most likely be performed to a live version of some Jessie J. song (she is the main musical star of this year's AoI edition). So it means that they would have to adjust the program to the recording version of the song. In any case, there are always plenty of good quality fan videos from Art on Ice, so we will see the program soon enough (Art on Ice starts on February the 4th).

Yes, you had me frantically searching for some bad news about P/C all over the internet going :gaah:
#lauravvv, i didn't realize ArtonIce was so close, great more P/C's skating to drool over.

oh my, wish they would skate to 'Who you are' or 'Nobody's perfect'...:luv17:

Don't know if these Euros practice pictures have been posted yet: Off-ice, SD 1, SD 2. I love Gabriella's dress!

There's also new quotes (I believe) from Gabriella and Guillaume in a French Preview Article for Euros, here's a rough translation:

The duo withdrew from the Grand Prix Series 2015. After recovering and competing in French Nationals in Epinal France in late December, they are making their debut on the international stage. "Usually we always start gradually, here it's directly the European Championships. It will be more difficult to manage the level of stress, it is absolutely certain," said the skater [Gabriella], completely healed. Her partner is ready: "While choosing our new programs, we had to prove that it was not a fluke, it was not a miracle! We successfully took up the challenge to offer something at least as good as what we did last year, and even above in term of complexity and emotion I think" said a satisfied Guillaume Cizeron.

After the Short Dance on Thursday, they will present their Free Dance on Saturday, which is a gem if you believe the experts. "It's not a love story but rather a story of brotherhood, friendship and loyalty, inspired by our own story" summarizes Cizeron. Regarding their competition, the French will mainly compete with the Italians Anna Cappellini / Luca Lanotte, world champions in 2014.

Congrats to them, the best out there. Quite a great result for a first time in an international competition. I still think they should have overtaken C/L on the PCS but let's see. The draw for the FD on saturday is in their favor.

Yeah ! It was a great performance ! :cheer:

I am still not over the fact I couldn't see them perform "live" on GPF, but after watching today SD, I think it was for the best !:agree:

Good luck for the FD !

I am in Bratislava and I watched Gabriella and Guillaume performing their SD "live" in the arena. Believe me, that was simply amazing. You can't imagine how I was impressed by Guillaume. He is definitely THE dancer of this competition. The way he moves his arms and also the top of his body is just incredible. I guess most of you know that he's a fabulous dancer (outside of the ice).

I can’t fully express how happy I am to see them performing wonderfully!:dance2: I was so worried about Gabriella.. She seems to get more beautiful and focused.. I really love their dancing style, especially Guillaume. His knee’s bend and flexible hip joint movements… (This time, he gets his skills more improved.)

I know your feelings.. To see them live is my dream! I’m still regretting not going to see them at WTT in Japan this April…

Oh, thanks for your vivid report from Bratislava.:hap93: I can imagine how fantastic Guillaume was! Hope you get to have a wonderful time there.

Well, I think I will never forget this SD as I watched it in the arena seating next to Guillaume's mother and father...
Here, honestly, I don't know what to say... Guillaume's parents are lovely people. When you have the chance to talk to them, you understand that becoming the youngest World champion in the history of ice dance implies so many things, one of them being that your parents are unique and exceptional. And believe me, Guillaume's parents ARE extraordinary people.
