I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often with figure skaters, especially pairs and dance teams. Heal completely (and ASAP!) Gaby!

Maybe it does but we don't hear about it. Especially in ice dance, those lifts with the skate on the guy's thigh, I always think it can turn so wrong so fast at the slight bobble. Anyhow, it was just a superficial cut so they just need to hang on till next week and then Gaby can sleep as much she wants. She seems to always regret not sleeping more on her twitter and instagram
