Gabriella Papadakis & Guillaume Cizeron

I just looked in the archives of the forum, old comments have me both smile and saddened: Cizeron never get anywhere with his partner, he loses his time with her, it's imperative that it changes (comments of the Junior world championships 2011)
I'm very happy that he "lost his time" with her:luv17:

I just read an interview of Igor shpilband where he says That the european champions (pc) programs are simple, he Also uses the Word crossover and two feet! Last Year he didn't see Them as potential rivals to the américan and now he is saying This ! He should watch his team programs!

Sometimes less is more, if you can put it together the way they do :) But he should know by now that when judges find a favourite it's gonna take something really special to beat them, something unusually beautiful. The problem this year is that C/B programs were better last season.

That's fair game, he's just campaigning before Boston probably thinking if you repeat sg enough time people we'll start to believe it. Actually, I can feel a bit of a wind change in the US too. During the NBC comments of P/C FD at Euros this year, Weir and Tara, who were absolutely raving about the french FD last year at Worlds , were saying this year's FD was really similar and their reactions were somewhat colder. So when a team gets attention like P/C does, they're bound to have people who will try to minimize their accomplishments. True for the other teams too though.

I read this interview , I don't know how to translate but in french:think: , there's a ironic expression who should answer for his words: "et la marmotte elle met le chocolat dans le papier d'alu" :laugh15:(ironic expression that means say anything)

You can find the article translated in FSU under the thread title "Igor Shpilband: I want a completely new look for Ilinykh/Zhiganshin" under the Great Skate Debate section (I would copy the link but I don't if copying a link from FSU forum is allowed here)

That is Igor. Trying to put an idea in people's heads that there is a weakness .... he is throwing shade so his team will look better in the light. No surprise.

Oh, Worlds is closer and closer.. My expectation about them is higher and higher! Further, we may watch their new show program (I’m glad Gabriella’s health seems to be almost recovered to work a new program!:))

Hey Guys, sounds like I forgot to tell you that I will fly to Boston this WE....
Will keep you posted for sure about the competition and what's going on there :-)

Ahhh, you are the luckiest person. I can’ t say how I see them live (They have already tons of fans in Japan. If they come to competitions or ice shows someday, I’ll definitely go there.) Have a nice trip and get wonderful performance by what you say fabulous ice dancers.:ghug:

Poor Igor..
Is he that desperate to not resist to the temptation to denigrate the other competitors, especially the best ones?
Trying hopelessly to divert judge's and people's attention from his own weaknesses is definitely the wrong way to go.
I think he, as a coach, should be aware about it.

So I just learnt that Davis and White were coming back, and that Gilles Poirier were the Sochi silver medalist. Le Monde is supposed to be a good newspaper, but it shows how figure skating is just not worth spending more than five minutes to write an article :noshake:
