So, to pass the time until GPF I'm looking into GabGui's junior past and try to find the program where they wore these weird bright yellow plasticky costumes.
Can't find anything, so please enlighten me as I'm sure all of you know what that was about.

YESS Thanks!!! Brilliant statement of arty cheesy horribly fascinating repulsive recycled idiotic plasticness!

But still, what I'm looking at now raises a lot MORE questions... What the hell?? Some very very mediocre fashion student's wet dream that came true?? And Guillaume was the black sheep with his head band... Poor skaters!

The head band had to do with a small head injury requiring stitches so he hid it under this unfortunate piece of cloth, really Guillaume who's so good at designing costume could have chosen a bit better :laugh: As for the picture you linked above, I believe it's from a program they skated on the music Guem le serpent, the music Hubbell/Donohue are using for the SD this year. I've tried to find a video of it, but no such luck, sorry.

Yep, true fans around here. This is the music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_YBrmP0Big and yes it is the start of H/D's SD.

I also want to claim I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THE PRESTOOOOOOOOO :love: I wasn't sold on it until the changes they made and the intensity with which they interpreted it at IDF. But watching that performance gives me chills every time, and now it's my favorite part. I can see it growing even more in intensity, I can also see some moves they could add here and there. So much abandon, especially from Gaby and Guillaume gives it all in the last crescendo with this unbelievable swiping move rotating on his knees before the calm settles back in.

Yes, that knee-slide is a brilliant choreographic idea!! I am sure they will skate even better on Saturday.
Gosh, I'm torn between giving them another month to work on it and wanting it to be the final NOW...
 
According to the instagram stories by Gabby and Tessa, both teams are already in Japan (and both are dealing with jet-lag. :biggrin:) We've got a great drama to look forward to! As I won't be able to watch it live, which is probably a good thing for my nerves, I just wanted to wish all the best to G&G (and other teams as well). I hope for a fair competition and whatever the result for G&G will be, I hope they will enjoy themselves and gain another important experience that should help them in their final preparations for the Olympics. :)

Anyasnake was right. Kurt Browning was joking or making himself interesting. He probably simply said what In His Holy Opinion would be a smart move, and probably knew very well what kind of speculation his remarks would generate. Good going, Kurt. See if we take you seriously next time! :handw:

I don't remember anything about Ayako HIGASHINO the tech specialist for the GPF. Did she do any significant recent competition ?
ETA: found the answer to my question, she was the tech specialist for the 2016 World in Boston.

And Halina was the tech controller at this year's cup of china- so they are both good! Janice Hunter was the Canadian judge at COC and will be the judge here. No tens for P/C from her at COC......
 
Less than 24 hours before the event and still no starting orders?? Are these people lost in their own rules and decisions or is this normal?
