Gabriella Papadakis & Guillaume Cizeron

OMG so funny ! When Romain spoke : "Congratulations to Gaby and Guillaume, and thank you Mr Gailhaget for the support. It's silver, we would have liked gold but in 4 years... with even more money..." and he taps DG's shoulder ! :laugh2: (at about 11:10 min) They all burst out laughing and scream : "Romain ! Romain !"

Hahaha hilarious! Thanks so much! :thank:

I just have the chance to watch their FD and the only thing that I can say it wasn't just amazing it was sublime. Every time I watching them I have tears in my eyes, they always touch my heart, I forget about elements, judges, points and medals, I just feel the music, the passion, the love, the Art. They move on the ice dance to other level of their own and actually bring me back to ice dance and I'm sure many others fans. They make me believe that when you are hardworking and do the things you love with passion everything is possible, they are my inspiration. They thought me that the important thing is not the trophy, it is the way to it, the memories and the amazing partnership which you can build and the love (the moment when Gabby fall in tears on Guillaume shoulders and when he kiss her hands ❤️). I can't describe how much I love them and how proud I am.
I can't wait the other seasons to come to watch and enjoy their masterpieces, when this awful fan war will be finished and I hope they will be healthy and will continue to work with this wonderful team. I just love them like all of you!

One thing that I kept saying to myself was that they were so quiet during their skate, their blades, the intensity, it was lovey

Another video by France Olympique, with another silver medallist, the skier Marie Martinod, and Nathalie Pechalat. Gaby and Guillaume appear around 5:10. It's a pleasure to watch, they all laugh histerically and Nathalie falls off her chair for some reason :D

They are speaking fast but from what I gathered Nathalie wasn't quite aware it was live and said Gabriella broke up with her boyfriend two years ago? I am not 100% sure and don't want to be starting rumours, haha. Anyway Nathalie was very embarrassed when she realized and was therefore trying to hide, not falling :).

Guillaume and Gabby seem very humble and down to earth. I wish they were able to skate the programs as they wanted at the OG, but that's life sometimes. I'm sure they will get a lot more achievements in the future. Actually I think they benefited a lot from the V/M comeback, technically they took a huge step up as a result of the rivalry.

Somehow I feel the American skaters/former skaters are just more supportive of P/C.

I get that impression too. Just from my own observation (which could be completely unsubstantiated) I have found they seem to have more friends/interaction with those in the skating community on social media. I rarely see photos/comments/likes between V/M and other skaters but P/C seem to have quite a few friends.

Again, that probably means very little (and is completely irrelevant to the actual skating), just a small observation I’ve made.

Dear God, some of you guys are so extra it's not even funny. I'd ask what's in the water but I'm not even sure I want to know.
I just hope Didier stays away from any creative decision involving P/C. Shame Peizerat was not able to replace him as head of the Federation though.

I’ve always liked Gwyendal Peizerat. He was a good sport in his day always complimentary of his competition

I am hopeful for P/C for the future and to win in 2022! .

I've seen many posts about how people wish/know they will win in 2022. But 4 years is a long time, they will likely start getting more injuries and their momentum might be gone. They would definitely deserve an Olympic gold, but I'm not as hopeful as many others...

Anything is possible, look at V/M

Thanks for the positivity, great timing for this kind of remarks. :rolleye:

Of course nothing is guaranteed and we can only hope for the best in the years to come, but there are things to look forward outside the Olympics as well and dance is one of the disciplines that allows for longer career longevity. I for one cannot wait to see their future programs, not to mention the many European and World titles that are about to come their way.

Also, I watched this on NBC and CBC and the one thing I kept thinking was, no one was saying anything. It was so good that everybody had to just shut up and watch, and luxuriate in this glorious free dance.

For what they are bringing to the sport, not just ID but other disciplines as well, they probably deserve 2 Golds. And I agree that 2022 is not a sure thing. But I guess as human beings, this Olympic experience will certainly be valuable for their personal growth. And that's the greatest gift they could take away, apart from Olympic medals.

Hi I just registered here. I was reading the forum without being here and decided to post because of what I was reading form Canadians. They re disgusting and openly they admit that they are happy that strap fell off ! I am shocked reading this! If it didnt , French have would won. Of course, wrongfully! French winning would be a proof that judges are corrupted. But thank got it tdidnt happen. Anyone is bothered by that?
Whats more, they are terrified that French got l4 for NtS , because they didnt whole season and they didnt deserve it and thats another proof that judges are biased

I just found this, it's after the SD, I really appreciate how strong is their friendship and their support to each other😊

Seems he's a better mental coach than Steffany Hanlen who is paid.

For all the talk about the competition being fixed for the French, in the end the Canadian judge on the two panels did her best to underscore P/C with no French judge to counterbalance her. So if anything, it wasn't a level playing field, but one that favored the Canadians.
