I think, for the scores so far, that Miki is boosting her component marks a bit more? Compared to the previous competitions it seems a bit higher than what she's got before (and here she tied with Cynthia in the PSC), but she lost ground on the technical score. Joannie Rochette has very good marks too. How exciting!

3. Joannie Rochette (CAN)

GO IRINA!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck in the free skate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whoa! that first place was a close call! The scores of Irina and Shizuka are very close, what a match-up!! and Joannie is just like 10 points away. Very interesting free skate this is going to be!! Good luck to all the ladies!! :agree:

Too bad for Phaneuf.

What a comeback for Irina! Just think that last year at this point people didn't know if she would ever be able to come back to skate at all.

It will be an interesting fight for the 1st place tomorrow. I'll be happy either way, I like both of those skaters a lot.

I'm beginning to think that Shizuka is becoming competitive again. Those marks are right up there. Joannie is where I was expecting her to be. And I'm wondering about Miki. If she hits she should surpass Irina in TSS.

The LP should be most exciting if all skate their best.

The placement reflected each skater's overall skating ability very fair. Cynthia Phaneuf was a little over marked at Skate America.
