Guilty/Not Guilty

Impressive and you have my respect. I don't go to the cinema much, I prefer watching films from the comfort of my home, but I have gone at the insistence of friends, even though I warn that if it's not a genre I'm interested in (not interested in fantasy or comedy) a nap might occur.
It is usually not easy for me to commit to watching something (apart from skating), so when I do, I try to get the maximum from it! And I love cinema 😊

Guilty 😅

Have you been to Malta?
(Guilty here and a very beautiful historical place, highly recommended!)

Not guilty but want to be guilty! I've lived in different European countries and visited many, many others, but never went to Malta. Thank you for your recommendation! :)

Have you done skydiving?

Not guilty!
Probably would be too scared to :D

Have you added a song to your playlist because someone skated to it?

Skydiving in in my wishlist of things to do!! I went bunjee jumping and LOVED it, so next level would be skydiving!!

not guilty ... I have playlists of music I eventually want to skate to, and of course music skated by skaters I love ends up being my obvious choices, but I have some music in there I love and one day want to skate to. I wouldn't put music there only because a skater I love skated to it (I adore Kamila, but don't see myself skating to Wakanda, it's not my style, for exanple)

Have you ever regretted purchasing something very expensive?

Very reasonable 🙂
I once tried to start a playlist with songs my favourite skaters have skated to but there are simply too many songs used in figure skating as our other thread proves 😂

Not really guilty 🤔

Have you ever had to pay twice for the same thing (for example, due to losing your ticket, etc)?

Guilty!!!!! I have an IQOS exclusively to smoke in front of the rink, outside the entrance door (If I wanted regular smokes I would have to walk until the designated area, it's kind of far and I don't like interrupting my practice for a long time, only if my coach wants a smoke too we go😂). I took it for a trip with my husband, I lost it, I bought another one and I think someone stole it at the rink 😡 ... I kept it in a cute pouch made of a cloth with figure skating designs, maybe a stranger who went there to play at a public session stole it 😡(club members never steal things from each other).. I've looked everywhere for it and last I saw it it was near my bag in front of the ice. So yes, I had to buy another IQOS for the 3rd time. :(

Have you ever lost something important (or had it stolen) that no matter how many years later you still think about it, wondering where it went?

Guilty .. sort of
I once won two round trip airline tickets; tucked them into my briefcase which I put on the floor in the local coffee shop to pay for my order and someone stole the case with the tickets inside. I decided to make the trip anyway with a friend at my own expense which turned out well. In the return flight I told my story to the ticket agent who upgraded us to luxury class and it was awesome!!

Has anyone volunteered for a major skating event?

Guilty 😂
My mind went to the cat plushie I had as a kid that I lost while playing outside 😂

Has anyone volunteered for a major skating event?
Not guilty, unfortunately.
With my job it would be kind of hard 😅

Have you tried learning Japanese? 😊

Have to be guilty since I've lived in Tokyo Japan for 10 years, train with a Japanese coach and am married to a Japanese guy, therefore I do speak Japanese. 😂

Have you traveled here to Japan?

Guilty! Mao Asada :) A skater who trains with the same coach I train, is skating in Mao Asada's shows, so I had the happiness of meeting her when I went to watch a rehearsal and then the show. Such a sweet lady! Looking forward to watching her newest show!

Cool! Did you go to skate while living here?

Not guilty unfortunately 😆
One time I was very close to, though, when we saw a skating rink at our local fair/amusement park.

Have you tried strange/exotic Japanese food?

Not guilty! I'm VERY difficult and very, very picky with food. No fish, no pork or pork products, no seafood, no rubbery rice, no chicken with skin and bones, no beans or bean paste, no tofu etc etc etc. Japan has by very far been the hardest country to live in food wise (and I've lived in several others), I live in West Tokyo where there are not many options of food like central Tokyo (posh and expensive), and I don't cook .... but I've managed in all those years, it's the least of my issues here 😂
You have to come back to Japan and this time let's go skating!! No exotic strange foods though, please 😂

Have you gone skiing, took the wrong lift, ended up in the steepest run and came down skiing/sliding sideways, hanging on for dear life, wondering if you'd make it out alive?(beforehand, I'm guilty. I know how to ski to tag long with my husband and be his cameraman, he's an excellent skier, but I'm terrified of very steep runs. I'm a much better skater)🤣

I have heard that, yes. I love Japanese food in general but was missing good quality milk products and bread while there (which are essentials in my home country). I'm glad you are managing!

Sounds like a plan 😊

Omg, guilty 😂
Like I mentioned before, skiing used to bring me to tears in school, so bad at it I was 😂

Do you like Latin dances?

Not guilty, sorry :( I don't know what it is, if it's the rhytmic beat that I don't like, or the melodies of the music they use ... or both. Unpopular opinion, but no, I don't like them. I don't like them as dance and don't like when a coach chooses this type of music for his/her skater. Thankfully my coach is not into this kind of music either, she prefers more lyrical themes, even though she's open to trying more modern music if she feels it suits the skater. I do, however, LOVE Flamenco dance and music, but the middle eastern influence is obvious in the melodies and rhythm.

Do you enjoy driving?

Not guilty, don't even have a licence 😂

Do you own any Pusheen (cartoonish grey cat) merchandise?
(Very guilty, I have a pencil case, clothes and some cosmetics)

Not guilty :( I have many stuffed animals and items from Sanrio (also many kitchen items, shower mat, clothes, sleeping clothes, bags, storage boxes, shelves etc ) but I don't know Pusheen

Speaking of cats, do you adopt one? :)

Used to be guilty until she passed 😞
Want to be guilty again some time in the future!

Do you like snowy weather?

I'm SO sorry. I've lost a cat before the one I adopt now and became very depressed. They are special members of our families :( I'm a huge cat lover. My cat's name is Yuki and he's 9 years old.

YES, I love snow, ice, and cold weather. I'm very miserable during summer and hot weather, I cannot function properly and only leave my very cool air conditioned home to go to the rink and skating related activities. We have snowy weather during the Winter and the Japanese alps not far from Tokyo are gorgeous during winter, but the very long summer is horrible, very hot and VERY humid. I don't really like anything related to summer.

Speaking of summer, have you ever been forced to evacuate your home and wait outside because a huge very scary insect came inside and you are terrified of it, so when whoever you live with comes back home, he/she can kill the insect for you? 😂😂

Thank you. I'm sorry for your loss as well. It's great that you have Yuki ☺️

I love snowy weather but since we are having almost half a year of cold weather in my country, I'm not much of a fan in general. I'm quite okay with hot weather, though, especially when I can have an air conditioner 😂

So. Much. Guilty.
When I was in Japan, one of those big flying bugs got into my room, so I had to call a friend, who was living in the same dorm, to get rid of it 😅😅

Have you had to make a presentation in a foreign language in front of a large crowd?
