Hanyu's skating edges

Are those purple pants like Yuzu's Prince costume?

1. Japanese men have never been afraid of color, even purple!

2. Huh, he could rival Yuzuru in slenderness.

3. The 80's - early 90's padded shirts look so weird now!

4. I'm so glad we've got more music choices now...

Yeah, right, the only man to skate this set of elements cleanly twice in a row is inconsistent. I understand.

2 competitions in 4 years isn't exactly consistent.

But if I hurt your feelings by not saying something positive about Hanyu, you can take solace in the fact that no other man in the world is consistent either. :sarcasm:

Why, you never know - some men jumping only triples might be quite consistent. Men who go for a greater degree of difficulty are unlikely to.
So basically Yuzuru lacks something no one has anyway?
Don't worry, it takes a lot more than Internet banter to hurt my feelings.

I wasn't exactly wrong by pointing out he's not consistent though, bud. ;)

I'm flattered by being called 'bud' - doesn't often happen to a girl. Ok, you repeated the message twice now - it might just have got across to me!

A man-bun.
I wonder how that'd look.

What's a man-bun?

Eta: I googled. Well, those movie snippets kinda tell us how he'd look with a man-bun? If we imagine hair instead of shaved middle of the head, that is.

Not to get into an edge war but Uno has some of the deepest exit edges to his jumps and just see his spread eagle to triple axels and tell me he "has absolutely no transitions". He also has lots of spread Eagles in his program and I mean NO transitions?! Don't make me post a pic of his cantilever.

Uno usually lands on awkward positions with no flow. How does he have "deepest exit edges" with those awkward positions? Go check Meoima's thread to see how many crossovers Uno has in his program. Maybe you don't know what are transitions and think crossovers are counted as transitions. And it's so funny that you think his cantilever is a transition. That's part of his step sequence and it's NOT a transition LMAO.

I guess you really need to learn what is "transition" in skating.
Maybe this will help all of us

Transitions . Difficulty
Transitions: Intricacy

And to answer the original question, does Hanyu have great speed/deep edge work? Yes. Has he shown his best speed/edge work in his programs this year yet? No. But he has 4 Quads to land.
I think you are just spoiled by Seimei.

yeah, exactly, pray for your soul before you're drawn, hanged and quartered. No mercy on you!

I might need to light some candles for my village. No doubt they'll come to pillage it after they have their way with me. :dbana:
