Heath Ledger | Golden Skate

Heath Ledger

I was shocked to hear the news earlier. It's too bad. He was so young and had a young child who will never remember her father.

I was watching his movie last night.. Such a great actor he was.. I live coupleo blocks away from his place.. it is just heartbreaking. I hope the media wouldn't make any assumption about the cause of his tragic death. Please pray for him and his family.

I was shocked. I turned on TMZ on television at 6 pm here on the West Coast. That Harvey guy goes...we broke the news at 1:30 pm that Heath Ledger is dead. I was like what??? So I had to rewind it to hear it again. It's just so sad. He was a really good actor. I feel so bad for his daughter Matilda who is only 2 years old and never really got a chance to know him.

My jaw literally dropped when I heard about this news last night. So sad and much, much too soon. :(

My thoughts are w/Matilda and his family.

I feel so awful for his family & friends. I hope those idiots in the media don't hound Michelle Williams & their daughter. Just leave them alone :frown:

the media was staked outside her home in NYC (the home she once shared with Heath) all day today, apparently

it's just sick what they will stoop to.

The news itself is completely shocking, I just wish the media wasn't so quick to judge the reasons behind it, or the idea that it was a suicide or a drug addiction and not some sort of accident.

I know. I saw that on the news last night & I was just disgusted. There were also following Busy Phillips (the littlel girls godmother) as she made her way back to Michelle Williams apartment. I mean, just what exactly do they get out of hounding her?

There's been a lot of other disgusting stuff going on in regards to his death. A lot of hateful things being spread & a lot of tacky journalism on display but discussing it only gives credence to those morons so I guess it's best to ignore it.

I'm absolutely heartbroken by this. But at the same time, I see the good in the world. I am a regular on the IMDB board for Brokeback Mountain and to see how this talented young man has changed so many lives so critically, so drastically, I have to say I am proud of him. I would rather he live 28 years and do Brokeback Mountain, than to pass it up and live to be a hundred. I've never known of any other film to change and affect so many people on such a personal level, and to actually know many of them, it's just remarkable.
