They say 2270 and size 8c on the inside with mirage blades. They might have come with a different blade originally. They just say Jackson with the leather stamp on the bottoms but no other markings or labels on the tongue like the new ones have. Did get them heat molded and punched. They are leather outers and soles and suede inside. I remember getting them at figure skating boutique in the GTA!

These are my Jackson’s that I got at about age 12… I am now turning 30 this year. These still fit pretty well as I was a bit heavier/taller for my age when I was younger and Ive slimmed out now around 135lbs and 5’5”. I stopped skating around that time, and I’ve been skating more seriously again in the last year for the first time since then. They still feel pretty supportive for singles, I’m guessing I was fitted a bit stiffer since I was heavier (maybe around ~155lbs) so thankfully they’ve held up despite being 18yrs old! I would obviously get fitted if I was getting new boots, but tbh I am just very curious what modern Jackson boots they might be equivalent to? Would be nice to have a rough frame of reference of what I have been skating in. Couldn’t really figure it out looking at the new Jackson line? Would love to hear any insights :)

I wore Jacksons for years until they changed the shape and they no longer fit my foot shape. You may find the same when you go to get fitted for new boots. (I'm assuming you're going back to the Figure Skating Boutique? Still the best shop in the Toronto area. I shopped there during the years I lived in that city.)

Your old 2270 boots were called the Competitor. If they say you can still wear the new style Jacksons, probably the Debut or Premiere are around the stiffness of your old ones, but stiffness ratings tend to be a bit vague and are not equivalent across all brands. The Premiere is stiffer and is probably a better choice for an adult, but do explore other brands and models.

If I were you, I'd make an appointment at the shop, take along your old skates (there's a pair listed on eBay just now described as "vintage" :(!) and describe your skating level today and what your ambitions are. See what they say, whether you can stay with Jacksons with your new slimmer foot, or if they advise a different brand. Welcome back to the ice, and good luck!
