Holiday Prep and celebrations

In my home, dolls are expected to work for a living :). If they suit a particular holiday, then they get out there on display, and these ladies do St Patrick's Day:
I see in the photo the dolls it resemble to Mairead Nesbitt , maybe Chloé Agnew and Lisa Lambe .. wow you have the 3 vocals of the band Celtic Woman 😅😅😅 .

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!! 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

I have quite a few of their CDs, not all with the same lineup of singers over the years, but I love their music. I also have Mairead Nesbitt's "Hibernia solo CD, signed by her. She and my daughter were playing at the same event some years ago and Carrie mentioned that her Mum was a fan. Mairead very kindly offered to sign a CD as a gift, and got my daughter to sign, for her, one put out by the string quartet Carrie was playing in at the time.

Easter is April 20th, I've had my placed decorated since before I left for Boston, because I knew I wouldn't want to do it when I got back.

Here are the windows. As usual, curtains are only like that for the picture.

The lights on the eggs match their color, so one egg is blue and the other is pink. The lights around the flag are pink.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers, grandmothers, step-mothers,
adoptive/foster mothers, mothers-to-be, "aunties", cousins, and mother figures.
To all those mothers who have experienced the ultimate pain and lost a child,
I'm sending you good vibes, peace and love today.

Happy Canada Day! In my family, that meant maple syrup on pancakes for breakfast, poutine for lunch, and BC salmon steaks and Saskatoon berry pie for supper 😋 🇨🇦
Happy Canada Day! 🎆🇨🇦
What on earth is Saskatoon berry pie? In my 20’s I had a boyfriend from Saskatoon but he never mentioned such a thing! Maybe his Mom made it?
🤗

4everchan's link tells you all about the berries, which are widely grown, just happen to have the same name as the city. They look like blueberries but taste, to me at least, tarter, more like cranberries. My mother just used a blueberry pie recipe and substituted Saskatoon berries.

You can buy the jam on Amazon.ca or in many grocery stores. I've never seen the berries growing wild, but my husband often brought home a tin of them when he'd been backpacking in the mountains. He'd let me have some to bake into muffins, and he'd dry the rest for his homemade trail mix.
