Re: Oops, I forgot I had posed a riddle!

OK, here's one, but it's not about geography.

Each of the following pairs of words can be rearranged to make two new words. The two new words must rhyme.

Example:

Elan Nadir.

These can be rearranged to make "lane" and "drain".

How many can you get?

Flee Laze
West Luge
Sing Sinew
Yaws Hinge
Nude Snoop
Busy Rezip
Cuffs Ought
Sift Disher
Artist Fighter
Busier Ozones
Wrong Hornet
Trace Raptor
Tiler Rebate
Cuter Oleos
Taint Berthing

Re: Phileas Fogg's WW Mode of Transportation

Mathman:
I just finished reading Around the World in 80 Days. You are right the film and mini series did take liberties and, in my opinion, left out some of the most interesting parts.

Your question was:

Quote:
trivia question: Which means of travel did Phileas Fogg NOT employ in his 'round the world adventure?

Balloon
Elephant
Train
Steamship[/quote]
And the answer is Balloon! The balloon comes into play in Five Weeks in a Balloon.

There was another mode of transport you didn't mention; the sledge with runners and sails that they used in Nebraska. Now that sounds like fun!

Keep 'em comin'
