I have trouble wrapping my mind around the idea of Funny Face, based on a '50's movie, as new and different. There's absolutely nothing any more innovative about it than Fledermaus. That said, Tessa and Scott have made it their own over the season and are making it better than I thought possible.

Yeah, I wish "An American in Paris" had been named "A North American in Paris" since I think the same Gershwin tunes work better in there, and that film may provide for more interesting themes.

I hate BS, they seem good technically, she's very flexible, but theyr are ugly, cheap.

The first time I saw B/S's costumes I was expecting something uber-dramatic music wise, then the music started and I was a little :scratch:. The costumes just don't seem to go with this program.

I am glad she toned down her headpiece, though. I spent the Grand Prix season thinking about how much it must have hurt when that bird flew into the back of her head.
