Is Irina still married?

I've seen a few fluff pieces about Irina, but none mentions her husband anymore. I figured that they would interview him about her illness and such. Anyone have any news on this subject?

I believe she still is, simply because there has been no news either on ISFF or her official site of a divorce or a split.

Both Slutskaya's and her husband's preference is that he stay out of the public eye. It's been that way since they got married.

On her 2005 Champions On Ice Profile, Irina lists as her "accomplishment most proud of" - "The day I married my husband". I think that just about says it all.

He never travels with her, and I've never seen him interviewed. He just stays home in Russia, to feed the dog I guess, and so is ignored by the western media. He's probably media shy.

But I bet he's very proud of his wife and her accomplishments.

Irina said in her last interview in August that the fact that they split with her husband is just a rumor. She often comes home too tired to even speak with her husband. He understands. He is a children’s coach, and developed high level of tolerance and consideration.
Irina almost quite cooking because of tiredness. So in order to help her, he now reads new recipes books, and cooks something for her in the evening.
