Brief comment
I thought that maybe Isadora deserved a Fan Fest after qualifying twice for the Olympics. Her skating is growing in quality and she is getting new fans outside Brazil as I noticed at the Nebelhorn Trophy thread :)
Initially I was going to start a thread for Team Brazil, but currently there are few competitive skaters, and most of them are at lower levels, so I eventually decided this would be better.

Thanks for making this fan thread.

Congratulations to Isadora for qualifying for the Olympics! Very happy more and more different countries are sending skaters to the Olympics.
I liked both her programs a lot :hap10:

Way to go Isadora :yay:

I noticed Kiira Korpi and Kailani Craine both commented her up on Instagram. I love how the skaters show love for each other and I'm glad to see Isadora getting some.

I was massively impressed with her FS. Looking at her ISU Personal Best before she skated, it looked like odds were not at all in her favor, but she had the skate of her life when it mattered.

Now all her new personal bests are from Nebelhorn 2017, but it amuses me that her old ISU Personal Best was from Nebelhorn 2013 where she also qualified for the Olympics. She sure skates well under extreme pressure.

Well you could certainly see in the KnC how much it meant to her. She must have tapped into that and converted it into competive spirit. When does she compete again?

No news in competitions as of now, but I'll post here as soon as CBDG (Brazilian Ice Sports Federation - yes, figure skating is in the same federation as other six sports here, talk about small) announces something.
Here's hoping she will be sent to 4CC or another CS...
She is often sent to smaller competitions though, like Santa Claus Cup and Sophia Trophy... I don't know if it's to build her confidence, or a money issue, but it's the recent strategy. She kept raising her scores throughout the quad (although these didn't count, that's the reason why her personal best was frozen for some timep) and did improve her tech minimums for Worlds but that's all these events offer. The Stats in Ice count these scores under ISU competitions, for some reason. I really hope that the federation realizes that these don't count for much and that we can see her at another actual ISU event.

At the CBDG they published a infographic with her scores raising through time, but as you can see, only 4CC and Nebelhorn were ISU:

I noticed on social media that she says she has students. Is she coaching part time? How cool would that be to be coached by a competing Olympian?

Isadora does coaches in order to cover training expenses, on the weekends. I agree that being an Olympian is indeed a really nice plus :)
I was already aware of the fundraising, but I'm not sure of what the forum rules about this kind of link are. If it is allowed, though, I'll definitely put it on the main post.
ETA: Checked, it's allowed and it's now on the main post!

I'm glad she's been posting on Insta a bit more frequently! Now....lets get her entered into another event ;)

I tweeted the federation asking whether Isadora would take part in more competitions this season. They said the plan is to send her to three competitions before the Olympics.
But they didn't specify if they were ISU competitions... :/

She was so cute in her last Instagram pic!

In an interview to Estadão, big Brazilian newspaper, Isadora said she is planning to add Triple-Triple combos at her programs by the time of the Olympics!:yahoo:
She said she is already capable of doing them, but isn't consistent enough as of now, but knows that in order to increase her chances at qualifying for the free skating, she needs a good 3-3 at her short program.

Waiting for videos! Hoping for the best 🤞🏼

I know social media is the devil but there lives a devil inside me that's glad she is posting more often to Instagram. Can't wait to see her compete again. It's a big season for her

Isadora once stated how social media is important for her as most of the time she's far away from Brazil, so the majority of fans' interactions are through the Internet. She told that after Sochi the love spread from them was the motivation she needed to keep going, and I found it very sweet :)
So as long as social media does more good than harm, Isadora can enjoy it!

Recently her (American) grandmother passed away. :( I hope Isadora is coping well.

Her university posted an article about her pre-Olympic training. It's rare to find information about her in English so I think it's pretty interesting

Lots of news about Isadora this week!
First of all, congratulations to her for finishing first in the SP and second overall with 146.39 points - a few pops in the FS after she didn't manage to do her first combo as planned but she's determined to get better results at her nex competition.
Which brings us to her next competition which will be the Santa Claus Cup at Budapest.
Also, regarding her 3-3 combination... She said on Twitter she's training both her 3Lz-3T and 3F-3T (quite impressive!). I'd say she'll probably go with the Lutz as she sometimes lips.
And her mother addressed the fact of Isadora not going to Challenger Series events, explaining it's due to a lack of resources of the federation, but everything is discussed with both Isadora and her coaches.
Really excited to see her landing her 3Lz-3T!!! :cheer:

Go Isadora!!!!

Nice silver medal and now I’m looking forward to the Santa Claus Cup!! :yahoo:
