I have a quick question (I'm not even doing any jumps yet but this has been on my mind for a while)
When I got fitted with Jackson Artistes, the guy said "these will last you until single jumps"
Does he mean I can do singles with them and i should replace them when i get to doubles, or does he mean i need to replace them before i can do singles?
I think he means I can do singles with them but i'm not sure.

More likely he meant you should get new skates when you start jumping. Though I’m sure some people have learned single jumps in Artistes, they’re generally considered beginner / recreational skates. If may depend on your height, weight, and how much support is left in the skates when you’re ready to start jumping. Best to ask your coach.

I think he means that you can start half revolution jumps like bunny hop, waltz jump, half flip in them.

My daughter does single jumps in her Artisties.....she is 13 years old, 5’3” and 120.

I agree with jf12. The Artiste are light support 25 stiffness rated rec boots. They are marked for advanced skating lessons. So I wouldn't do more than half rev jumps in them and then I'd get a boot marked up through doubles after that so you don't have to get boots for awhile.

Otherwise you risk hurting yourself.
