Yes, a free skate!:hap10:

And tinkly piano music (well, maybe a string in there too), right in Jason’s wheelhouse.

Still would love to some Sun Valley programs, especially if Jason skated the FS.
Yes, more please! Do you think this contrasts enough with Tarzan? Hard to tell since they are still early days. The FS is promising. And it is Jason! Still not 100% sure that Tarzan is Jason.

Okay - I can be an adult and admit the Tarzan program is growing on me. Still not my favorite but Jason's choreo makes it work. I guess what he and Ro were after is something that was almost a complete contrast to what he usually does. Probably a good thing after his last few programs. I look at his skating and the music is just way in the background. BUT his freeskate. WoW. I think it's a wonderful contrast - something contemporary and something gorgeously classical. And as much as I loved Impossible Dream, this is a major step forward IMO.

I did not expect to like the short since I did not like his Tarzan free and I don't like the music. But seeing it in short format, it is amazing, I love it and I'm even enjoying the music too. It's so flowy and fresh. Love it!

A slow, classical free is good for Jason imo and, I'm sure, beautiful. I can't wait to see more.

Taira Shinohara is on the entries for JGP Slovenia, so if that stays, we may get to see Jason's choreography.

Guess it's good he is not doing the commentary for that one. ;)

If Jason commentates on the junior men's SP this week.

The US junior man Patrick Blackwell is skating to "Love Is a Bitch".

This could be interesting (Jason of course will be sweet as pie :) )

Great Sports Media in China reported in Webo that Jason Brown, together with Bradie Tennell and Madison Chock and Evan Bates, are mentioned for Shanghai Trophy (October 3-5) in China.

Will this be Jason's first international competition this season?

ETA: I changed the wording from "to compete" to "mentioned" since they are "invited" and we might want to see the confirmation as either from the skaters or as the official entry list (especially since Jun-hwan Cha is listed for this and Denis Ten Memorial that will be held at the same time).

Yes, Jason was along for the last two groups of the Junior Mens' FP today. He didn't do a play by play with them, it was more that after each program Mark / Ted would ask Jason for impressions of the program. Most of what they discussed leaned more on the psychology of skating and training, a little bit about choreography. Also, during the ice make, they showed clips of Jason from when he was a Junior and asked him about his mind set and training from that time.

It's well worth a listen - starts here: https://www.youtube.com/live/OW5IEm_BgNA?si=3Ey3IOCp8CGYK4hJ&t=10317

I caught it live, it was so interesting and enjoyable to hear his insight.
Will he do it again?

I really enjoyed that interview with Jason, which was unexpected.

Jason has, dare I say it, zero effs left to give. He works hard on what he does, he always has, he does not apologize for what he can't do and is rightly proud of what he can do.

So glad that he will not let the skating establishment make him feel "less than" again:hap10:

For me and many others he is the quintessential skater.. his self expression and realization is what does it for me.. goes way way beyond merely chasing technical elements. He is breathtaking which has always been his ultimate goal..the man tells a story every time and never fails to move his audience. I am an adoring fan..

Absolutely!

The interview is fantastic, and well worth a listen, with great questions from Mark and Ted, and answers from Jason that exude positivity, compassion and insight and is highly articulate.

During the ice resurfacing, there's an extended interview with Jason, with footage of his Junior skates - even as a youngster, his skating is breathtakingly beautiful.
