Yes, I watched with my local ISP, in the US.
The entire show is also on Peacock, but I realize this does not help our friends outside of the United States.

It was Jason at his best! Excited, happy, totally engaged and representing as he's been asked to do. It was fun to watch. Short and sweet, with nice videos of Jason skating!

Peacock is showing practices tomorrow. Hopefully we'll get a preview of what his programs look like now. Hopefully his jumps are solid and clean on competition day. We know that he can do it!

I did the GP math. Jason is a solid US #2, so I can say we're safe on that part.
Now, when it comes to GP final: If Shaidorov manages to qualify, Jason needs to do better than Daniel Grassl, which will not be an easy task. Shaidorov and Grassl seem to have big chances at being 5th/6th after their first GPs. My most likely scenario is that it will be a tie between Jason and Grassl for the 6th place with Jason having to score more than 269 (at one or both of his comps), score that had Grassl 2nd in his first GP. So Jason is only allowed some minor mistakes here and there. He needs to be more clean than Challengers for sure. But mathematically, and if Grassl (and Shaidorov) skate well, it's tough... (based on me having Ilia, Kagiyama, Sato and Siao Him Fa, with Shaidorov a likely one, as sure qualifiers)

Another wonderful interview (this time with CBC) where Jason admits he sometimes felt pigeonholed by Riverdance, and just like us, although he wasn't showing it, frustrated by comments on quadquadquad blah de blah ( and Jason is way too nice to say it that way

It was glorious!!! Jason will peak later in the season. He was so happy to be there and likely nervous too. In his interview afterwards with Andrea Joyce, he mentioned talking to his sports psychologist before Finland so he knows what he needs to do.Well, still not perfect, and I wish he were higher after the SP, but...

I wasn't thrilled with the yackety yack US feed either, but they did say nice things about Jason. He looked kind of tentative at practice today also, but the audience didn't care. They were glad to see him. He's feeling the pressure of international expectations. And he wants to be on the podium if possible. He's put extra pressure on that short program making it a thank you to the audience and his fans. I hope that he can go forward knowing that it's simply a great program, skated well it's brilliant and he's totally capable of giving it the presentation it deserves. His fans will love it no matter what.

Just watched Jason's free. WOW, that's beautiful. Jumps need to be cleaned up - and I think they will - but the choreo is SO intricate and beautiful. I can't wait to see how it grows.

It really is a nice program. He needs to polish up that Step Sequence and get more energy into it. And the jumps need to be secure. I'm seeing that this program can work, but since the music is so consistent in it's tempo and energy, he'll need to bring the energy that the music doesn't provide and make it meaningful. It needs a crescendo and Jason can do that with his emotions and his incredible skating skills. If he's using this to tell the story of finding his voice and using it, there is a crescendo built in when he uses his voice and makes himself heard. We all want to hear that voice when he skates! The judges will also!
