Well, if they do keep it - though I hope not! - I'll try to think of it that way. Besides, it's not like I actually detest the music & can't bear it - there have been some music (not even just POTO!) choices that have been nails on blackboard for me - especially with the dratted singing... Sigh. Oh, talking of which... I haven't even seen the hiphop EX yet... I really, really don't like hiphop... :slink:

Hahahahaha I was actually thinking more along the lines of Carmen = girl, Phantom = boy :biggrin:

ETA Now that I think of it, I feel that Jason is actually one of the few who would do POTO justice (in, like, 5 years time when we've forgotten about this season). He's just such a great interpreter that he's able to make even a warhorse seem fresh (see Turandot 2010-2011). It's like this recent avalanche of POTOs is pretty boring and samey, but I can still watch and enjoy D/W's POTO because they just live the music. The interpretation makes all the difference.

Jason has already said he's not doing POTO!

I need to look again at the translation, but he indicated he wanted to do a program to rhumba....not sure if that is a hint or what.

And oh yeah Grand Prix slots come out around my due date too. Haha...

Slightly OT, but I really like Wang/Liu....they really benefited from working with the DSC crew this year. I hope they keep improving.

Q: In your competitive career, is there a piece of music want to skate to at least once?
A: Sure, music that you can dance the Rumba or Cha-cha would be nice. OR something people can clap along to.

A11-B Do you have music kept aside? (for olympics etc.)
Not at the moment but I can say with certainty that it's not Phantom of the opera. :p

Two days later is my betterhalf's birthday.

two more days later is my step-father with the same name.

Really hoping Michael Andrew was not in the cards for a name for you or i might be uncomfortable.



And to keep it on Jason. . . said better half has to schlep up to the norther Denver area at 5:30 on the morning of the 27th. . . so Broadmoor Open may be off the table for me. Waiting for a more detailed schedule. The PDF even said it was open to the public, but off all the days to hold it on. . . . ohh well.

Well I am also currently job hunting so I kinda have to keep that in mind as well. Trying to bus or train would be. . . way too much of a pain to deal with. We have a second car but it is. . . . very unreliable, so not a good option, (no i don't want to meet skaters by my car not starting) I can make the better half take the bad car the mile or so to the park and ride to work, but neither of us would take it out of town. So I might take the good car down on Thursday still if the schedule makes it worth it. I am considering spending the money for a hotel Friday night. He gets off work early on the 27th but from a day that starts too damn early. If we had a hotel, i could ditch him there to nap and meet up later, but would not want to ask him to drive home on top of the rest of the driving. And there might still be some events on Saturday, so we might do it just as a day trip then. A lot just depends on the schedule. My goal is to see at least a triple jump in person so I kinda like to see the senior stuff or jump competition. All the same it really did fall on the worst day in June for me. I really did want to go!

It does seem odd to have the bulk of the events on a Thursday and Friday. Especially the jump competition, they should make it a little easier for people to schlep in for it.
