Jason Brown

Okay, today he's also posted on his IG story about Queer Eye, Strawless cups at Starbucks and USFS Motivation Monday post. I want some skating clips! WAH.

At least the QE video was about skating! And Jason agreed with what was being said. What was it? Something about if you can't land a triple toe/triple toe in ?Atlanta? how are you going to land it in ???? . Or maybe I got that all wrong.

el henry, hope you didn't have problems with the rain today. It looked pretty bad in Hershey, and I'm currently watching news reports of serious flooding this evening in the Colorado Springs area. So much water in so many places.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hadn't seen that old EX. At least I can't blame it on losing brain cells.... yet.

He says "If you don't land a triple-toe/triple-toe in Atlanta, how are you going to land it in Reno?" On Twitter, Jason seem to say "preach!" with the message that you need to put in the work from where you're at if you want to get to where you want to be. (TBH, I love Atlanta -- my brother lives in the area and I have tons of friends and Reno sounds eh to me, but I get the metaphor, lol).

Substitute triple-toe/triple-toe for "quad" and Atlanta for Toronto and Reno for Skate Canada/IdF/Nationals (and any other competition he ends up at). :)

I have yet to watch the Queer Eye series (the new one; I watched the one from the 1990s that was on Bravo), but I did see them on the crossover episode of "Nailed It!"

RE: the exhibition, I haven't seen that one in years! Like when I watched the exhibition back during the JGPF.

It's funny, last night as I was on my way home (before reading any of the new posts in this thread), I started humming then singing "Drop in the Ocean". I don't even remember why.

It's so weird not to see Jason on the Glacier Falls list! But it looks like none of Kori's skaters are going to be there either. I didn't see Courtney, Jordan or Ben.

7K Senior skaters Sonja Hilmer and Julia Fennell are listed, but I don't know who their coach is. Could be Doug.

Thanks for asking, but we are relatively dry 80 miles to the east of Hershey/Harrisburg, and poor Chester County too. We are getting intermittent sunshine and downpours, which leads to steam rising from the asphalt when it is sunny. A very interesting look for this part of the country;)

Also so nostalgic for the days when Jason was a Glacier Falls regular. :drama:

And the days when we had seen more of his programs by now:laugh:

Is there any information on what the IS I show this Friday

If you are asking about programs, I have rarely seen that publicized for a “benefit” show, and I have no idea who else would be skating, perhaps local skaters? But either way, it’s a winner, because it’s either a new program, IMHO doubtful, or an exhibition, and we all :luv17: Jason’s exhibitions.

Except Cotton Eyed Joe:laugh:

Well I have tickets and the show starts at 7pm . Do you think they have rehearsals earlier than the show that would be open to the public? I'm so excited to see the show.

Lucky you to see the show - please let us know how Jason skates! Gosh - he might debut his new SP, and of course we would all love to know what the music is, whether you like the program, etc.

As to when rehearsals are and if they’re open to public, it’s hard to say. It looks like he’s performing in conjunction with an ISI competition, but I couldn’t find a schedule. I would suggest you call the rink (New England Sports Center - link below) and ask. If they can’t help, maybe ISI can tell you - the link I put below for ISI gives contact info for a woman named Kim Hansen. Good luck, and let us know how Jason does!

That's great to hear:yes: I would hope practice would be open, but I have no idea! As @Tavi said, please come back and give us your impressions and tell us what programs Jason skated.

I should have included the quote with the above query. Did you receive a confirmation or actual tickets? So far we have received nothing and a phone call to the organizers yielded no further information as to how this is going to work. But the charge for the tickets was billed to the credit card.

I received an email confirmation and I clicked on it and it was an invoice. I called and you get your tickets at the booth that day. It will be under your name. No assigned seats. I need to get there early.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for your help! My friend who purchased the tickets didn't see an email, but I suggested that she check her junk folders etc. I didn't realize until yesterday that she had received no confirmation, nor actual tickets, but that she had been billed. So clearly they received her order. We're traveling 4 hours to see the show and the meet and greet afterward, and would hate to get there and not be able to get in!

Welcome Bookseller to Goldenskate! I hope you and your friend have a great time and that you come back and write a report if the show!

Bookseller and Jeanie19, hope you have a great time tomorrow!

After Zheniya sent out her program info yesterday, anyone have a teeny bit of hope that Jason might do the same? Has he ever just revealed his programs in a post or something? I can only remember the Vlog for Hamilton last summer. I'm drawing a blank on anything else. I'm even drawing a blank on this year's short, though I know we know what it is.

Last year, we found out about Jason's SP on July 11 through a YT video. A video from Golden Skate the following day, July 12, has information about his FS. I believe he debuted the programs at Skate Milwaukee the following weekend.

I remember Rohene revealing his SP in 2015-2016 (the Love is Blindness/Great Gatsby Soundtrack cover) on Facebook in late May, a few weeks prior to Broadmoor. Then they choreographed a new SP for 2016 Nationals, but Jason was injured so he didn't reveal it (to Apassionata) until Team Challenge Cup in May 2016. He was going to use it for the 2016-2017 season but then they changed (to Sam Smith's Writing on the Wall -- which was an exhibition) it after Champs Camp and I believe we didn't find out about the change until Lombardia.

Also Rohene tweeted, also in late May the 2015-2016 (and later 2016-2017) FS music as a hashtag, #sceneoflove. I looked back and I realized I was the one that guessed correctly LOL.

Also I looked back at old posts on this thread, and it seems that Phil Hersh was the one that announced Jason's programs in 2014-2015 with a tweet from June 22.

In any case, Jason's late on announcing that FS! Hurry up!
