Aaaaaand this is why I prefer the coloured schedule. The schedule only had start times, so I guessed what time Jason would skate based on the pairs start time, set my alarm for 6 even though I didn't get back until very late last night, woke up when the alarm went off and I'd missed him by forty minutes. SUPER ANNOYING.

Can't wait for videos! I'm so proud of him!

And just a short while ago the gloom and doom for Jason and his move was so thick... I am so proud he kept his head high and kept working, and now it's started to pay golden dividends. The confidence boost these last couple of weeks must feel so good and is so deserved, here's hoping it just keeps getting better!

:hap93: :yes2: :hap57:

So happy for Jason! This result is just the confidence boost he needs as he prepares for nationals. Although some of the landings were not as smooth as yesterday, he executed the planned content for the most part (the loop was once again his nemesis) with no underrotations.

OMG - I just got home from work and saw the results. I"m soooo happy for Jason and so pleased. This has to be a major shot in the arm for his confidence going into Nationals. Yayyyy.

:gclap: :gclap: :gclap:

I could be wrong, but I think as long as the SP is clean, the judges are going to shower it with GOE love. If a program can have “rep”, this one does. At least I hope :luv17: who would have thought it after SCI?

At this point, if he ever gets S&G down pat, that will get showered with the GOE too.

And even though I’m no fan of half the music, what’s with the muted YouTube LP?:disapp: (I know why, but really S&G, you’re like Prince, and no one cares :dev2:)

The judges are saying loud and clear (for the most part) they want clean, they want precision and they want skating skills. Jason is giving them what they want right now. If he can clean up the Free and execute the planned elements, he'll do well with or without a quad. So glad to see him happy and hopeful. He has work to do, but he's excited about doing it.

Thanks Rosa. It's actually kind of interesting watching Jason skate with no sound. You really get tuned in (no pun intended) to his movements on the ice. He's so graceful and smooth.

As a Jason-fan I was so worried after Skate Canada because he looked so defeated and sooooo many people were saying he should retire, he's not gonna make the cut, he's not international level etc etc... I am so so SO happy that he's proved himself AND everyone else wrong!! His confidence seems to be soaring and it's so obvious how much it affects his skating. He has excelled incredibly at the last few comps and honestly his SP now is starting to look effortless.... If only he could nail a quad!!
PS, very random question to which I know nothing about the technicalities of, but what would be the chances of Jason being able to do a Quad Flip? Obviously know its higher in difficulty than Quad Toe or Salchow, but from the last few programmes I've seen he seems to do very well on his Triple Flip, high GOE and some really good height and distance, at Golden Spin it looked like he was floating. Just curious as to whether that would be a consideration or whether sticking with the Quad Sal is the way to go

I've been advocating for a quad flip from Jason for literally years. His triple is so GORGEOUS and the height is so good that I really think he could do it.
