She also mentioned he tried for the quads, which worried me:reye: I realize he had symptoms from spinning, but I still wish he would take it *exceedingly* easy.

What is most surprising to me, is that Jackie says that Jason is "more confident" than last year at the same time period.

Well, there are more revolutions in a spin than in even a quad. (I suppose the reason why I've thought of this is because when I google translate the Angels of Plushenko Instagram posts, "revolutions" turn out to be spins... )
In general:
I'm not watching any of the snippets of Jason skating now, and haven't seen any of the ones posted lately because I've decided I want to wait to see the whole thing when he performs his programs in competition. Not live - which is as well for my nerves, really; I'll check the scores, know the worst, and hope for a Youtube video!
But good luck to Jason! However many revolutions he does in his jumps or spins.

I was watching on Gold on a small laptop, but kept Jason focused with a magnifier throughout the practice, He was easy to spot, because I know his stance so well now. In saw those two jumps. It never occurred to me that they might be quads, because I was so certain they would have tabled them for this comp. I saw him fall. I agree with Jackie. He went into them in a much more confident way and Jackie described one of them as slightly under rotated with a fall. I wondered what was causing the fall, because the other jumps looked very good. Jason skated over to talk to Brian and Tracy after those two jumps with a serious face. There was some hand gesturing and then he went back to skating. The rest of his skating looked solid and he did look confident and very focused. He practiced some of his short at the end and it looked great.

At one point during ice dance practice today, Jordan Cowan :luv17:, Jason's parents, and Rohene all were sitting together in the stands.
(Possibly true also during men's practice. I just happened to notice the grouping during ice dance practice.)

The person who gets off the bus after Jason is Richard Gautier, a pairs coach from Montreal. He has coached a lot of pairs, including Duhamel/Radford for many years.

His comment was that they literally saved the day, but what that means I don't know. Really happy that the fam is all together! I am gonna be a nervous wreck tomorrow, but can't wait!

So because timezones, the SP is gonna air half an hour after I finish work, so I've either got to, a) cut my hour long commute in half by doing some super major speeding or b) not take my lunch break so i can leave half an hour early and be home just in time!!
