Those IG story questions were cute. Always good to see the food suitcase again :) and I don't think I had seen the photo of Jason lighting the menorah before.

And new costumes? Is that like new, new, or add a stripe and take away some spangles new? ;)

I'm assuming that SL at least, will be new new. Sinnerman might be adapted. We'll see! In that interview with Ro in IFS magazine, they asked him how he came up with Riverdance. As we knew, he dreamed about it. But for me, at least, this was the first time I had read an elaboration of that. He saw Jason skating to Riverdance in a green and black costume and getting a standing ovation on the ice while surrounded with flowers. The reality of the flower part was more like those red plush freebies given out by Smuckers at Nats, but he visualized the rest. So Ro dreams in costumes also.

First time I saw that Menorah lighting photo also. I spent some time trying to identify the skaters in that 2013 photo. It was surprisingly difficult. I got most of the men right away, but eventually had to look up the names of who skated Nats that year to figure some of them out. I had the hardest time with the women. I still haven't figured all of them out yet.

The most we get is one group photo and whatever publicity stuff they decide to release. That seems to vary year by year. Usually they release more publicity stuff with an Olympics coming up, but with the pandemic at play that may not be the case this year. But no skating videos at all.

Considering that TSL are continuing to shit stir in their latest video ("foot injury all summer, turned up to champs camp not in great shape, was considered a lock, wonder if the tide is turning" blah blah blah), it fills me with SUCH relief to actually see him on the ice (and not a carefully curated instagram post either). Even if he has been struggling with injuries through the summer, there is still some time to go until the Olys so he has plenty of time ahead of him.

I've never been in the "pile on TSL" club; they have their plusses and they have their minuses🤷‍♀️

But a lock???? Tell that to Jason's worrying fans who lived through 2018

Shit stirring is right. I frequently defend Dave but I found that comment really annoying - virtually no substantiated facts and a lot of gratuitous speculation and comparisons (unwarranted IMO) to Ashley Wagner. At this point I feel like, Dave, if you’ve got some actual facts, then share them; if you don’t, just shut up. 😈

There are lots of rumors. There always are! What we do know is that Jason is a mature, experienced and smart skater with really excellent coaches on his team. Whatever happened and whatever condition he is in, he will make the most of the situation. He's on the ice. Thanks to Scott, we know that. We also know that Jason will try to skate the best that he can and hopes to make the Olympic Team. We know what programs he is doing. Everything else is speculation. Maybe a few more snippets will come out of Champs Camp. We'll see!

One observer thinks that the new Schindler's List went well, so I guess that's not Dave's "source" ;)

jason’s schindler’s list is a different cut but honestly it’s even better than before. the beginning and the end are the same it’s just the middle that’s different

Jacob (Fitzpatrick I believe) who was at the National Development Camp.

I wonder if Jason's lack of accessibility to TSL and his disinterest in letting them get their greasy mitts on him and his info is racheting up Dave's spite-o-meter.

Ok this is so much more reliable than TSL! Interested in the middle section being different - it was already a glorious programme to start so I'm interested in the changes. I'm glad the ending is the same - I need to see him collapse to the ice after that final spin in front of an olympic audience!!
