Jason Brown

One great side benefit of Jason's competing at Worlds, back to interviews. :)

A few new points in this interview with US FanZone:

"I really want to make it clear to all the readers, I've been training really, really hard. Just in a very different way," explained Brown, who was training three different show pieces in the leadup in addition to his two competitive programs.
"You might look at my schedule and be like, 'Is he making any time to train these programs?' And the reality is it's not the same way...

And he thinks of The Impossible Dream as his fans do::pray:

"So much of my career has been about everyone being like, 'Oh you'll never achieve this. Oh you're never going to achieve that.' For me, it was like, 'I'm going to keep putting myself out there and trying my best and who knows,'" Brown added. "So that was really big in that impossible dream. And it's not to say that I haven't become deflated or defeated or let it get to me, because it 100% has at times. It hit hard many times in my career. But it was a reminder to go after it."

I think that Jason has reached a healthy point in his life and he's skating his best for himself and his audience, be it ticket holders or judges or people watching on screens, and he's doing it his way, the way that makes sense to him. We're lucky that he's doing World's and I hope he does World Team Trophy and we'll see what's next. He's earned the right to make his own choices and he'll make good ones. And he'll do it his way!

Beautiful skate. No words to describe the joy he brings to the ice. I loved how Johnny gushed about him. Yes he IS really what figure skating is all about. Wish they both, that mouthy Tara especially, had remembered that when they were going on and on ad nauseum about his lack of a quad, and quads, quads, quads a few years back. Loved the looks on Brian and Tracy's faces while they were watching him. 💕

Simply gorgeous! With or without a quad, Jason is simply in a class by himself. His skating has a depth of feeling and passion that's hardly ever seen --- and can't be taught.
