I would like him to lose the pants too, but I am not hopeful....

But more importantly, to repeat from the "Jason gets a quad" thread: Rohene has "amped up" the choreography? Where? How?

Yes, stalking the 3A could be distracting, but I want to know more about the choreo:party2:

No, not close enough, IMO. YMMV.

To me, Hersh's exact words are much more neutral than your paraphrasing:
@olyphil
@LynnRutherford @icenetwork @irokdamic @jasonbskates Easy to say, harder to do - as your story notes

Sorry, Golden, I don't want to sidetrack the thread here, so I'll just leave it at this: I disagree with you that his comment, taken in context with hers, is neutral:

Lynn R: (Kori Ade) says (Jason's) 3A is "beautiful and solid as a rock"

PH: Easy to say, harder to do

... Phil Hersh basically said I'll believe it when I see it? (That's not quite what he said but close enough).

Not picking a fight, but as for context:

You missed the context of what I said. What I said is that Hersh's words were much more neutral than your paraphrasing of "I'll believe it when I see it." And I stand by my opinion. YMMV.

Anyway, agree to disagree as to what we think of Hersh.

Good luck to Jason. And as always, I look forward to his blogging and Instagrams. :)

Yup, we can agree to disagree on PH, but we can agree a million times on good luck to Jason - and wow, I can't wait to see the programs! ;)

Jason's ID, and I am posting not so much because it is Jason's Worlds ID, but because I am weirdly obsessed with the symbols. And the hanger in particular. Does that mean locker room? Why a picture of an athlete in motion *and* the words "Rink"? Two different things? I clearly have too little to do.

Also note that the Japanese Fan Club poster (I assume she is the one behind the account) has Jason photo nails. Cooler than a t-shirt.;)

Ohh I was doing the same thing honey believe me.

I think the skater icon denotes what the badge holder is, as opposed to say coach or something else. I did assume the other stuff was access type. So in this case access to the rink and locker room and food and buses and parking. But the bus is red so maybe Jason does not take the bus, who knows.

Also, he has posted a montage on USFSA's instagram.

From left to right, my guess at the symbols: practice/warmup area/athlete, all areas of rink, locker rooms, food, parking, athlete's shuttle (I'm guessing that's the meaning of the differently-coloured shuttle symbol).

Also, am I the only one this picture mildly creeps out? The photos on the nails are kind of creepy, but the fact that a fan has Jason's athlete pass is super creepy, IMO.

They way she is holding it, it looks like Jason is wearing the badge, so it's not like the fan is running around with it. And there isn't super classified info on it.

That said, I don't care for the photo nails. It's a bit much. I like the nails from earlier where they were based on the color of his costumes.

karne, the tweeted photo gives me the creeps too.

Call me paranoid, but I wish the QR code were not visible. We don't know what information it does or does not contain.

And the nail art is way too much, IMO.

It's not paranoid, it is understanding how the damn things are intended to work. I do like seeing stuff like this, but my amusement would not be diminished by strategically hiding that portion of it.

I wondered what you meant by nails - I thought maybe it was some internet-y thing that I didn't know about (consider me basically computer illiterate), but you meant actual nails! Hmph! I must say... I don't know about that either... it's... well...

Agree. If the fan had used a finger or thumb to cover the QR code, I would forgive the borderline-creepy photo nails.

Evan Bates posted an Instagram photo of his own credential -- including his QR code. :ohwell:
I wish these "kids" would be more careful.

more pics of nails.

It is a bit odd, but my guess is it is someone who just does their nails a lot and eventually you start running out of ideas and think people's faces are a nice change. I liked the Juke and T&I color scheme nails much better.

It feels a bit big brother, ya know? Like I wouldn't even want to have my husband's face on my nails and well, I'm married to him, lol.

Ie I don't want to star at anyone's face when I'm looking at my nails, ha!

 The same! I quite like my husband's face too - but on my nails? No. ;)

Actually, our hubbies might not be the best examples of alternative photo nails. I love him dearly, but there have been times over 25 years when the *last* face I would want to see on my nails (or anywhere else) is the spousal unit's:laugh2:

Yes, the nails are a bit much, I guess, although we don't know how old the account holder/photo poster is. I can definitely see my teenage niece using photos of One D for her nails. And she did travel to China from Japan to see Jason compete, so it beats a t-shirt. *And* the costume nails were really well done.

Thanks for the thoughts on the symbols. I hadn't thought of the security concerns for the credentials. Hmmm... But while I am being picky, I am surprised they allowed a photo with a hat (and I know it's the style, or at least I see a lot of 20 somethings wearing them, but the knit hats are not very flattering, IMHO). Set the pony free:biggrin:

Ah, alas - I must confess that is true too. ;) (Though in my case it's 22 years. :) )

I'm practically a newlywed compared to you two -- it will be six years in September. (Turns out that TMC and mine wedding anniversaries are a week apart; same year!)

22 years, LRK?! You guys must have married young (based on your previous disclosure of your age earlier in this thread).

You have a good point el herny regarding age...I am probably pass the age where photo nails of my favorite skater/artist/whatever is probably a bit much. :D (i.e. no longer a teenager, hehe)

I was surprised by the fact Jason wore his cap for the photo. He really likes wearing those knit hats.

I assumed he wore the hat to keep his hair controlled when he does not want to tame the mane.

I am reminded of the school picture episode of South Park when we finally see Kyle's crazy red hair under the cap.

I think the main reason i would not do nails like that is I like my hands to be functional and ready to get messy.

September brides ftw woot woot!

I'm ridiculously excited about this competition :D

Even staying up tonight to watch the SDs, which start at 3:30 my time - the thought alone is making me yawn!

GO JASON :cheer:
