Jason Brown

Holy........!!!!!!

(I can't write what my actual reaction was, the swear filter will catch it  )

Holy Plushenchrist. That is as clean as I've ever seen from Joshua, from Max, from Artur, from the King himself. Of course, practice is not competition, but...holy hang.

I am so happy for both of them, but especially for Jason, who must feel like a huge weight has been lifted from his shoulders. Yes, he has to get it consistent, etc., but still... And they both looked so clean and easy! And bravo to Vincent Restencourt, who has obviously been doing great work with them as well as with Courtney Hicks (on her triple axel) and who knows who else.

I also must confess, fellow Jason fans, that one of my next thoughts along my (very slow) thought process was...

...there are certain people who are going to hate this. ;)

...I am surprised they have not come out of the woodwork yet. Fingers so crossed he can do it next week.

*consults diary* Hmm, watching the SP live will be a problem for me unless he skates in the very first group. The FS is mercifully at stupid o'clock on a Sunday, at least, so I can snooze after.

I so hope he lands it next week...fourth in the World without a quad, where to next? ;)

Ha hah - they'll probably find fault somehow.;)

ETA: yes I wonder how it will go in the program in competition. Will it be like the 3A was, hot and cold for awhile?

I know! and with better programs too. and with Worlds in the USA. This could be a really fun season.

... But will he be the first pony tail to land a quad? Has anyone with a pony tail landed one yet?

Jason has impeccable timing. A week before his senior B! Didn't he get his 3A like four days before the JGPF? This is a thing.

Yep... he said it suddenly clicked that the harness was no longer assisting him. That is what is really fun to me to think about. As you always remind us (in a good way!) he landed three 3As at junior worlds very shortly after getting it only a few months prior. So he is in someways ahead of schedule.

Ellaj Balde did today at Nebelhorn, didn't he?

Not gonna lie, when I saw all these new posts in this thread I got nervous that there was an injury or something...but no! It's the quad! Way to go Jason!

It will probably still be a while he's landing quads that solid with much consistency, but that's okay. It's coming.
