Jason Brown

And for my (not) favorite journalist, I may need to damn him with very faint praise. He posted a very snarky tweet about Alexa and Chris today after their free (for the first, and probably last, time in my life, I tweeted to a skater. Not my thing. But Alexa had a great reply to Phil and I let her know). IAC, it's not just Jason; Hersh makes the lazy a$$ snarky comments about everyone....

OK, Jason, let's do it tonight.:cheer:

I loved Alexa's reply!!!

Congratulations to Jason for pulling up from 8th and winning the bronze. A beautiful skate that has so much potential. Highest component marks of the night which were well deserved.
Congratulations to Max and Shoma who were amazing.

I felt encouraged by Jason's performances here. I think they should take out the hard transition into his 3A (why, Rohene??tbh) and obviously the jumps weren't in peak form, but he looks right where I expect him to be at this point in the season. And his performances, especially in the short program, have come a long way. He is competing again next weekend, right?

I'm so thrilled for Jason! After his FP's score came up, I was relieved and ecstatic. Then as the skaters went on and he went up higher, I started to get excited, then with one skater left and saw he was in 2nd, I started to freak out and get excited! Cause I knew that meant a guaranteed bronze medal at least! Perfect way to end my weekend! :) His FP was so captivating and I cannot wait to see how he does in Japan!

I am happy that Jason got bronze at Skate America - and I should say I believe he is unique not only for his magnificent skating and outstanding personality - but also for his remarkable luck :) It gives a satisfying feeling though
And - kudos on quad improvement! :)

No need to wait until NHK, he's going to the Ice Challenge this coming weekend :cheer:

Jason's program is one of those rare ones where - who gives a flying camel if he lands the jumps, it's just so gorgeous.

That step sequence must be one of the longest in current existence, but I could watch it forever.

Loved Jason's FS program! Beautiful steps, spins, transitions and his musicality
are all really first rate! Congrats!

I really loved how happy and genuine Jason seemed at the medal ceremony! He always seems like such a good sport and person.

Just watched Finnish TV's broadcast of the free skates...I don't think they've gushed about any male skater as much as Jason in my memory (Okay Plushenko maybe).

They were so full of superlatives it made me almost blush

Jason did very well! Only a UR on the quad, no downgrade :)

You know, I thought that I felt (with my eyesight I certainly can't claim to have "seen" it) it was better - even with the fall. I'm so glad - it means he's on the way, and I did feel that he really attacked it more?

(What you said last year in your Finlandia report when talking about Petrov's jumps and Plushenko's really struck me and has stayed with me since - that they didn't "safe" their jumps, but really went for them, you know? Although you expressed it much, much better.:))

Anyway, congratulations to Jason on the bronze. :)

I thought so too! I don't normally see ur/dg very well, but just as he fell I remember thinking how much better it looked :

Wow what a great memory you have! And thank you for the compliment :)
